We have looked better recently on defense. Even against Purdue it wasn't bad until we got up a ton. But it certainly helps a lot when you're against a team that relies heavily on their Heisman candidate RB and you're up by 4 TDs in the 1st quarter.

Missouri goes for 2 in overtime to beat Florida, and now the Gators have to beat Florida State next week to even be bowl eligible.

Florida is 3-5 since almost beating Alabama and two of those wins are Vandy and Samford (the other is Tennessee the week after the Alabama game, and boy do I wish we had played this version of Florida instead of that one)

If Cincinnati actually makes it into the top 4, I will watch their first half against Georgia until they trail 35-0 at halftime.

If Oregon drops here they move to 4, but Oklahoma State can still jump them later.

I don't really care if Cincinnati gets blown out or not. The argument that they shouldn't get in because they'd just get blown out is moot to me because the 1/4 matchup in the playoff is almost always a blowout, no matter who's in it.

nah I think Cincy will actually be #4 this week but I know the committee doesn't want them in

but the path for them to get in is opening, if UGA beats Bama handily there's no argument for putting them in with 2 losses, which is really the only other thing they need at this point

I love the idea of the committee staring at this scenario.

1) 13-0 Georgia
2) 12-1 Ohio St

and then having undefeated Cincy, 1 loss Big 12 champ OU, 1 loss Notre Dame, 2 loss Bama (who lets say loses close to Georgia), 2 loss Pac 12 champ Oregon to choose from

Notre Dame has literally no path to leapfrog Cincinnati. It's not a conversation worth having

Only thing stopping Cinci getting in now is Alabama beating Georgia plus Oklahoma State running the table. I don't see another scenario where they miss out if they win out.

I agree, and even in this scenario I think there's a chance they get taken over Oklahoma State. Michigan can jump over Cincinnati but only by eliminating Ohio State in the process, and nobody else is in contention.
