X5 wasn't great, but it had some funny moments like the speeder bike stage that kills you before the "Ready" banner disappears. Or is that X4? As meh as it was, X5 had some cool stuff like the background CGs of Sigma. X6 is a poorly translated slideshow with Japanese voice acting - no time, no budget, no care went into X6. That goes for its basic gameplay and its localisation. X7 might at least come off as funny-bad due to the game hitting the polygon ceiling. There's no excuse for what X6 was. I did like how they handled chips and how they handled X's armor upgrades (they made it more like the older games where you equipped armor upgrades as soon as you got them and didn't have to wait to get all), I also really only hated Hyenard's stage, though the cyber stage was kind of a pain too, the other stages i was largely okay with and maybe even liked some them (like the warship one, that one was cool). Also the character-switching mechanic was cool. Honestly, at the very least I'd probably rank X7 over X6. Here are four simple things I wished they had improved upon: X being available at the start and not some whiny kid Reploids not dying forever deaths (and off screen!) The cyber level is the worst level if you're trying to get all the reploids. Way too confusing of a layout. This level should have been scrapped. The final level(s) are terrible. The game's enjoyment increases if you stop playing after beating the main eight levels as the last area is just not fun and is too long. --- There are a ton of misconceptions about recycling.
