The military is extremely reliant on private contractors and all of their soldiers are paid employees, not part owners of the military.

More ironic that staunchly pro-capitalist free marketeers have suddenly found a voice to warn against the unscrupulousness of "big pharma" because they don't trust an industry that (shocker!) is motivated by profit.

how is it ironic to decry something for being capitalist and than praise something for being socialist? That's being consistent.

It's almost like diversity instead of a single ism would be the best option...

I can't tell whether right-wingers who are fiercely pro-capitalist, blindly defensive of corporate America, "greed is good" types who uphold the profit motive as one of the noblest of virtues, who evangelize the free, unfettered market as the most perfect of all systems, who'll man the ramparts of Wall Street to the death, were being ironically stupid or just unironically stupid when they went apeshit bonkers that: "No one should trust the Covid vaccine because you can't trust Big Pharma, they're motivated purely by greed! Those bastards will falsify any clinical data if it helps maximize their profits. They don't give a shit about people's health, they think their only responsibility is to their shareholders."

Very anti-big business. Sounds almost socialist. Definitely fucking hilarious. Seems they can't stomach their own bullshit when they're faced with gulping it down themselves.
