I attended in 2004 and 2005. I really enjoyed it and loved the third sublevel floor where all the "rest of them" vendors where. They have a classic video game section where you could play Atari 2600s, Intellivision, and ColecoVision consoles on old CRT woodgrain TVs with Early 80's style couches. I met Keith Robinson there twice (of Intellivision fame and part of the Bly Sky Rangers). I got him to autograph a copy of Intellivision Lives! for the Xbox.

I was eligible only because I worked at Game Crazy, a Hollywood Video video game store, like GameStop and EB Games (both of which I also worked at before). I couldn't attend E3 for 2006 after they tightened up who could attend and most game store employees became ineligible.

BTW, Keith Robinson passed away in 2017. He was a really cool guy, very nice. I miss him.

I got offered to go back in 2008 or so, when I was writing for a Nintendo centered website. Problem was, I lived in NY at the time, and they told me about a month out. I didn't have the necessary funds to drop on hotel and airplane tickets at the time so I had to pass and I kind of regret not going.

I got to see Peter Moore... lousy sell out

Another year we went to a concert that was next to where the action was taking place in LA, got I to the lobby and took some awesome pictures

And there was another time I went to the Sonic anniversary party that took place outside of E3, it was totally worth the 6 hour drive there and the 6 hour drive back

SDCC was where it was at one year, got to play Sm4sh early, Street Pass games lit up on everyone's 3DS, won a shirt, met Bill and the voice of Mario.. all for free

I'm at E3 right now as a matter of fact checking out PSVR2

I'm voting for the invisible option between "No, I had no interest in attending. But I liked keeping up with the announcements" and "What's E3?"

I never liked keeping up with the announcements. I always just waited for info to trickle to me through osmosis if it was important or interesting enough, and I always kind of hated the mentality that all major announcements should be sat on for one point in the year rather than spread out whenever.

Especially since it meant that studios and publishers will rush out teaser trailers and announcements long before they're actually warranted because they feel like they need to have something for E3. And it also meant that occasionally interesting games or future releases will get overwhelmed by hype for some other game, because people only have so much attention span to waste on a constant barrage of BS.

Never had any interest in going. Wait in a line for 3 hours to play a 15 min demo I can just watch footage of online for free? Sounds like a nightmare.

Nope. It costs me quite a bit to even get over to the states. Still E3 looked fun.

No. I like games. But gaming news usually bores me I like to know about the games afterwards. And will watch trailers for the ones I find interesting. Sometimes, my buddy will want to watch, though. And Ill watch with him
