Sometimes, I feel we're simultaneously the smartest and dumbest species to ever exist. And with the internet, an interconnected world, and social media, our idiocy and ignorant is available for all to witness.

I weep for our species sometimes.

I'm an alien from Planet Popinpobopia. The Magic Police had found out that Earth was facing a crisis and had sent me on a mission to save the planet. Since then Ive been using my powers to live as a NEET.

Never once did it even cross my mind.

In fact, I don't believe people who claim to be. To me, it just comes across as cringe attention seeking behavior when someone says an absurd thing like that.

There isn't really a viable alternative. Dolphin? Pig? Gorilla? None of them are as advanced as humans or as smart.

Now if there was some other advanced race like elves or something and they all lived in harmony with nature sure I might feel like an ass sometimes, or alien cultures that thinks humans hating other humans is backward but.. yeah human is all we have in terms of sentient species on our level.

I can feel dumb to be an American or a man or white or a video gamer or something like that, those are points of comparison. And sometimes I feel like people in some of those groups are sure being stupid.

If or when I feel ashamed, it's only because of my own actions or those of people whose actions are a consequence of my influence. I see no reason to ever be ashamed of anything else.

I am proud to be human and I think I am far from perfect. Also, I think I am mauvais on many thing.

I'm not ashamed of being human because shame or pride in inherent aspects of your being are nonsense. I am ashamed of humanity and our behavior throughout our species lifetime, though.
