You're letting a potential scum pair of Kirby/Lea win the game. There's quite a bit tying them to each other in this topic alone. Entirely possible that they dissociated themselves from Plum and DYL early to avoid detection.

Same can't be said for two others here. Something Lea can't take into account is that I can't just instantly become good at Mafia over the course of a week. This is kinda over-the-top. This is a large reason I'm growing increasingly suspicious of Lea. Like I've learned to take notes for future games, for example. I don't have even half the things Lea's learned in my head. I'm gonna make mistakes and that will make me not look good at times.

Kirby saying I'm scummy for being too busy to have time to reply and Lea expecting me to suddenly be able to read everything similarly to how she does feels like projecting to me. Sheep... I don't quite know what to make of him voting for me, but it doesn't seem as illogical as Lea and Kirby.

I like Sheep's defense. For what it's worth, I couldn't quite follow Ulti's argument, either, but I figured I'd fan the flames to see if Sheep would panic. But nope, his defense was calm and very much in line with what I had analyzed as well.

Hey, BCT. I'm here for about an hour, give or take. You have until I collapse to convince me to lynch someone else.

This challenge is also open for anyone else! But I'd appreciate it if he made a full argument himself.

I'm fine with either Kirby or Lea, honestly. But if Lea needs to be scum for Kirby to be scum... perhaps it's better we do Lea first?

Things that stick out to me from this in-game day on this reread:

• I don't like Lea's immediate vote like it's a foregone conclusion. Does she knows something I don't?
• Kirby did not unvote when Ulti called him "emotional town" while I actually listened. I only revoted once Kirby showed that he wanted a rushed mislynch. I asked Lea to unvote and was ignored. This makes me think at least one of Lea/Kirby is scum since the lynch was trending in a direction favorable to them. Scum does not benefit from extended discussion, right?
• Kirby seems to think 1) everything Ben said must be true as if Ben is perfect and 2) interactions are the only way to prove scum. Other scum could've distanced themselves from Plum and DYL when they took heat to avoid suspicion. Kirby corroborating Ben's misread on me feels scummy - he knows it's wrong and pushing that is the best way to get people on board, because Ben feels credible and was probably killed to get people to think he was right when he was wrong.
• Both Lea and Kirby seem to expect me to mention everyone at some point on D1/D2 when I'm overwhelmed and trying to keep track of who is who and who did what. I've shown numerous times that I'm legit bad at keeping track, because I'm very green. They're trying to exploit that.
• Kirby said Lea has to be scum if he is because Lea voted for me first. He may be admitting the truth thinking nobody would believe it. Bold play, but entirely possible. It could also be framing.
• The only person to not call Ulti out about the No Lynch was Lea. Scum doesn't want that additional time. Would a scum Lea shut this idea down even if other people already did by the time she read it? If she's scum, she's playing this "overcorrection from last game" masterfully.
• Sheep is saying even less than Lea, but what he's saying feels more thought-out and I don't know if that's a red flag or a green light. He voted for me, but he doesn't seem as frantic and desperate as Kirby, or as "I'm ready to be done with this" as Lea.
• Is scum at this stage supposed to be frantic like Kirby, apathetic like Lea, or rational like Sheep?

Honestly, what Kirby's saying doesn't feel beneficial for town. He's talking a lot but not saying much of substance. It may be that he's buying what Lea's selling. Lea is more level-headed, saying it's process of elimination, which I can understand because SBell is 100% cleared and Ulti has that scan. So since scum can't mislynch either of them, I'm the easiest prey left. That's what's "process of elimination" here. It's not for town. It's for scum.

Ben was also confirmed town and he said not to kill Lea or me and instead lynch BCT, then Sheep. What's your point?

Each of the three of you is giving me a different vibe. Kirby seems frantic and desperate, which is what set off my alarm bells. Lea is very apathetic and "let's just get this game won so we can move on" which I don't know what to make of. You, on the other hand, are putting more effort into your thoughts, and looking more into reading people. You're the one actually analyzing and saying things. Which makes me think you're actually trying to get to the bottom of it. Again, Kirby's frantic, Lea's apathetic, and you're rational. I really don't know which of the three of you would be scum. I don't know how scum behaves at this juncture.

Honestly it wouldn't surprise me if Lea had to manage DYL and Plum and got annoyed so she's all "whatever." Her instant claim on D1 garnered attention right away, and I now think that could've been a diversion, to protect anyone from scanning her so she could get away with it.

But... I can get on board with this idea of lynching Lea.

I'm not going to both piling onto Ulti and SBell for this, it's just a game after all. I will congratulate Sheep - when Ulti called out that someone manipulated my D1 lynch, he was right, he just never bothered to find out it was you. And BCT, who did claim Scum with his first post of the game, did a really good job of holding together and preying on the right Town players in order to make it through.

I thought Death had a good D1, and the claim from Plum played on my stupidity enough to get through. So good job Scum, you earned this win.

Ulti, my gut is not dead. I did not gut you, that was me speaking from desperation using a term that people usually give weight to. THIS is gut:

So yeah, 200% hit rate on the Hangut from my first post this game. Pretty good, if you ask me.

Anyway, I will take partial credit for my own lynch - whenever I don't trust my gut, I usually get bit for it. Should've just committed to Plum. I was looking for an alternative and was getting blocked (by Sheep!), so I was a little flustered and unable to come up with something.

Also, props to Ben for solving the game and in very good analysis doing so. Props to Lea who mostly played a really solid game. Like, good play, fun to watch. It's 100% not your fault you got lynched - bad role meta is bad role meta and will always be bad role meta.

Some thoughts from a person that observed knowing the full setup.
- Don't blame the balance too much. Having many power roles makes it hard and it makes it easy for the game to flip in either direction. People wanted a quick game, it's fine. Coming right after Han is a tall order too, Sultan, you did a fine job. Lessen to learn is more things like including rules in first topic and generally remembering stuff in the opening posts and flips. Fun flavor!
- The end of day 1 is perhaps the most frustrating I have ever witnessed in a game like this. Han basically came in and made scumteam fear him all day, then town decides to fumble completely.
- Day 4 was also frustrating. Death basically rolled over with the track and he was confirmed power role. Lynch confirmed power. This game had unusual roles flipped, don't make a risk like that.
- On that note, Death, it sounded like you don't like being scum much, but I wished you had been roller over less. You had a very great d1 btw.
- After a few games, red is probably my favorite town to observe, but Lea deserves praise this game too. Sultan and I talked a lot about how funny you were and you had a great game. Claiming early had its pros and cons, there's no perfect way to play a role like that.
- While it's a nice gesture, sparing likely scum people because they're new is stupid. You play to win, and to the lynched person, it's just a game. Sign up again and maybe next game you're better and/or just town.
- Tidus, don't sign up if you'd rather be playing video games than playing. Stuff can up and it doesn't have to always be important stuff but this was too much.
- Shooting MZero directly n1 when he was finally town hurt.
- Finally, thank you for running the game Sultan, and thank you letting me know the setup and help out, it was fun! I basically just told I could help with votals and stuff for the first week and Sultan welcomed me with very open arms. That was very nice of you, even if I barely did anything.

So funfact my original plan was to Kill Sbell Night2 and just Roleblock IGCD.

Holy shit, this one got me. I cackled all the way to the bank at Ulti saying SOMEONE MANIPULATED THE D1 LYNCH. I played like shit the rest of the game, partially due to irl stuff which I'd like to explain because it will likely mean a lengthy absence from Mafia, but I will take full credit for my S-tier scum D1.

this was very frustrating to watch as a spectator. especially when it was blatantly obvious to me from the day 1 lynch shenanigans that BCT/death were both scum. The one time I'm killed night 1 :(

Was I really a newbie? Yes. Was I as clueless as I was pretending to be? Not quite. I was playing that up as much as possible in order to look like I was green town. I, uh, can't believe that worked. I know it's never going to work again, unless it's something bizarro of course.

You were very VERY clearly overplaying the newbie card this game, but you did it in a manner that was good enough to earn the win in the end. So grats! Now we have to see how you handle the pressure of being Town while people are trying to call you Scum.
