Or can/will Nintendo still shop around their IPs to other companies like Dreamworks, Sony, or maybe even Disney?

If they are smart they will build a connected universe, so it should all be given to Illumination

I still haven't even seen Mario. But I do think they should keep everything connected

Illuminations style works well for mario. Maybe Kirby, too.

Illuminations doing Zelda or Metroid would be a categorically stupid decision.

Illumination = Kirby, Mario, Pikmin, Pokemon, Kid Icarus, Donkey Kong

Dreamworks = Star Fox, Zelda, Metroid, F-Zero

I don't see them going to Sony or Disney.
