I had to get physical today, and they tested my vision. I could kind of read down to the line that said 20/13. It was rather difficult to distinguish between F and P though and C and O. It makes wonder how good my vision was as a child and why they always stopped at 20/20.

Last time I had my eyes tested, I was told I had 20/21 vision. So not quite 20/20, but close.

Without my glasses I can barely see the E on the eye exam chart

Idk, wasn't told a number like that. Was diagnosed with mild Astigmatism though... So probably worse.

I used to score better than 20/20 but I feel like its been getting worse the last few years. Not enough to need glasses yet but maybe someday.

My prescription is -8.5. Can't see shit.

I went twenty years between new glasses for some dumbass reason, and the ones I had went through a car windshield.

It took a bit of adjustment to used to the new lenses.

Pretty sure I have the worse eyesight in my family.

I can see without grasses, but I'm definitely near sighted.

Anyone here have laser eye surgery done?

I mean, my vision is 20/15, but I wear contacts that are at -3.5.

Right eye is fucked from injury, left is mostly fine. My depth perception sucks real bad and I struggle with eye strain.

Where are people getting these super accurate eye tests done? I remember thinking that it was cool as a teen and the contacts people telling they don't do that, they're just trying to get the 20/200 as close to 20/20 as possible.

I was trying to get it done with the contacts in though.

Not great but I'm not blind without my glasses or anything. Hell, I can drive without them (not legally, but physically; I still wear them, of course). I can wear contacts, but I haven't had an eye exam in roughly two years and honestly don't have the money to pay out of pocket at the moment.

I get my eyes checked every year; and not just cause I wear contacts. I see a doctor every year and recently decided I will see a dentist every year as well. My insurance covers most of these simple visits.
I digress, if your optometrist isn't giving you your numbers, see a different one. If I knew you, I'd recommend mine, he is spectacular but retiring soon.

Kind of bad. I have strabismus and amblyopia on one eye. At this point in my life, one of those is not correctable. Basically, if anything happens to my good eye, Im blind.

I was tested at 20/15 when I was 16, but it's much worse now that I'm old.

I had corrective surgery last year. Vision is now better than 20/20

Without my glasses it is utterly shit, I am so near-sighted (My prescription is around -12 - -14) that anything past 4 inches from my face is a blurry mess.

Even with my glasses it is poor as I need new glasses and I haven't got the money to get new ones.

Poor. I'm terribly nearsighted and always need to wear my glasses.
