Adam & Teela take a teleporter together from Sorceress to warp directly outside the baddie's base, baddie springs a trap that makes metal walls come up to split the two, Adam takes the chance to immediately turn into He-Man then push down the metal walls to reunite with Teela in a matter of seconds, in the middle of nowhere

"He-Man? Where's Adam?!"

anyways nearing the end ofc there's not much to say since it's just an episodic kids show, but as someone who never actually watched He-Man I'm really impressed with how much of a positive male figure he is. like sure that shouldn't be a surprise with a kids show but I've just only known him as this big beefcake dude essentially named MAN MAN, so actually getting to know the character in 2023 is impressive

I think I prefer coloured lines for the hair, but then also... hair lines are my favourite part of the black lines version

one big step down from 80s he-man to 80s she-ra is that hordak is a pathetic ass baddie

not that skeletor was ever threatening or anything but he was always a laugh while hordak is relatively just a loser

and i mean skeletor still comes on now and again and every time he's still top dog. not to mention hordak has Horde Prime above him even

its weird that the show has on overall conceptual plotline that she-ra stays in Etheria to help them in their war and yet theres so many episodes of her saving hordak's ass

this one hordak's minions are fed up with him and they team up with skeletor, curse him to start fading away. she-ra brings him to a wizard who can cure him but he and skeletor are just like nah fuck that guy and she-ra starts crying with this speech about how could you watch a helpless life fading away?? then it turns out tears were the cure

then she just brings him back to his home base like wtf war is this, surely you could at least imprison your main antagonist leading the charge for the entire conflict you're in this world to solve

gmom's really hitting the breaking point where she's starting to understand & accept that prison is gbro's destiny, and that all the physical & emotional labour he's extracting from her just isn't changing anything

he had his first court-mandated therapy a couple days ago, and after it she was hopeful about getting through to him, while I tried to reminder her who she's dealing with and not to get her hopes up... and yup, two days later he's immediately unravelled to the violently demanding & entitled person he is

I'm not sure if I've made it clear by now but gbro's level of entitlement is that by default everybody is always expected to do everything gbro demands, and if you don't, he calls that disrespecting him and gets verbally aggressive to you (respect obviously being a one-way street for him). so for example from today - gmom went to pick him up since he has court tomorrow. she brought him a sandwich, expecting him to be hungry, gbro doesn't like it (gmom thinks because of the sundried tomatoes) and demands some mcdonalds. no argument here, gmom just says okay. by the time they finally go downstairs gmom's husband has been waiting about 40 minutes, says he can drive into the mcdonalds when they get into town rather then getting it in the toronto core. wouldn't take long but this is a problem for gbro, he demands his mcdonalds now, but gmomhusband puts his foot down (something they discussed in therapy) and asserts no he's been waiting long enough and they can get it easier at home.

here's where gbro throws a big fit, says he's being disrespected, gets out of the car and goes back up to his apartment. keeping in mind everything they're doing is entirely for gbro, picking him up for court tomorrow, getting him food, gmomhusband is the one who paid his bail which gbro has absolutely zero respect for, the entire reason he's out free. even the apartment he lives in (which he isn't even allowed to during the court order) is paid for by gmom, and when all this is brought up, gbro takes it as a threat of taking it all away and curses them up for threatening to take away his freedom, as if he isn't completely flaunting his release condition after breaking the original court order adding new charges to himself 4 times now over the year

honestly me & gsis have just been hoping he gets busted since that's the only real "out" for everyone to finally stop putting up with all his shit (and for gmom to stop paying a whole ass toronto apartment's monthly rent). although a legitimate concern honestly is that everyone is fully convinced by now that he does have the capacity for murder (he threatens to kill people all the time) and his family would be his prime target for an ultimate revenge spree if he were locked up and eventually got out. it's kinda nuts to personally think these days that the manner in which my life will some day end, I currently do consider murder to have the highest probability.

oh wow yeah, no real instruction and this came out pretty well, better than most of my attempts (probably not the latest), or at least a very strong starting point and it took no effort

head tilts have historically driven me absolutely up the damn wall for hours getting them done right, with some really shitty jobs on some (unfortunately, my fav more unique green outfit one)

(keep in mind in this preview, it's for doing the head/face XY tilts ONLY, so the hair & dillo ears I just quickly whipped up in 2 minutes to post in this video demo so they wouldn't be in the way)

regarding your brother; I have no idea how anyone could put up with a person like that, much less continue to provide for them and bend over backwards trying to help them. your parents really needed to cut this guy loose like a week ago. a month ago. a year ago. I guess from my point of view he sounds more like a spoiled crybaby who should be laughed at and ignored, but if he actually comes across more like a dangerous psychopath IRL then... well, actually, either way you should just go completely NC with him as soon as possible.

regarding the Live2D; Looks good! have you thought about developing your general skills at rigging? because there are probably (definitely) people who would pay you to rig models for them, and it feels like a skill that you could develop to a professional level pretty quickly. over the years I've seen you master a lot of skills through self study that a lot of people might not even be able to do even with guided instruction.

gbro essentially terrorizes a toronto apartment out of gmom. he is just such a monster that nobody can put up living with him and with his entitlement it's expected that he could violently retaliate if kicked out of our homes, possibly even fuck shit up at gdads apartment complex to the point gdad may get in trouble. so the options are jail or get him the place he wants, and gmom has the means so just goes with it. he can't TA at the uni anymore so income relies solely from ODSP (diagnosed ASD since HS, at the time known aspergers) this year which isnt enough to live alone on

and yup that therapy.... honestly the picture I get is that there's more hope among the therapy sessions than warranted. they go, he's an ass for a while until gmom and gmumsband call out his shit, he cries and relents and nods along with agreement, acknowledges he's being an ass so everybody thinks okay we got some progress lets do better

but then like I said he just immediately becomes the same person again. she's been our family psychologist for over a decade but hasnt had regular appointments, back when he did it would basically be just to brag about good things going on in his life and when he's a mess he has always avoided it. now though he's mandated to attend weekly so hopefully no denying reality anymore.

I've definitely considered it! Theres certainly a looooot to rigging but yeah I've definitely developed my understanding over all the models of practice. Sure theres like monster crazy good rigging thats way out of my league but then theres also so many models that just leave it to basic movements, even less than I already do, and yeah I would be confident in that as skills continue to improve and who knows

like yeah these shows from day 1 he-man have always been about teaching morals to kids but god this is just so silly. girl if you can't break your promise then there is no "something else", you promised to obey and not escape

okay they're trying to get out of it by having Hordak break his promise by capturing her friends (even though that wasn't his promise), saying Hordak broke his promise so She-Ra isn't bound by it anymore... but she already called He-Man to rescue her. And He-Man just came in and broke her free without her being able to communicate anything about her promise

Fantasy Life i has added farmer and artist lives. Also the TGS stream fully confirmed that this game is basically if Animal Crossing: New Horizons was a JRPG.

earlier in season 1 they demonstrated she-ra does in fact need a helmet in space - he-man tossed a grappling hook to catch skeletor's spaceship and she-ra started climbing the rope but as she ascended she needed to transform her sword into a helmet to breath

fastforward to the 3rd last episode of s2 and She-Ra & He-Man are just riding Swift Wind in space no helmet for anyone, capturing bad guys as well and holding them up in the vacuum of space no big deal

also getting 223 episodes + 1 movie & a christmas special of the he-man franchise in just under 2 weeks has me convinced that I could totally catch-up on Pokemon & One Piece if I tried

although being honest I would not want to be stuck on watching nothing but pokemon/one piece for 2.5 months since that's essentially the case I'm currently in with this shorter show

also 2000s He-Man 1 ep down this is immediately a great improvement from New Adventures. bless coming back to the original setting, and this time it's just fleshing it out and doing it with more intentioned characterization, even starting with Adam's backstory this time which he lacked in the original. original still has its merits but this is cool so far. *episode 2* oh man mekaneck such improvement. The original Skelator will always be THE Skelator I feel, but they're doing a good job at making this one much more true to form to the original while also being a more serious of a character

day 1 progress, tapped out for sleep now. like I said this is the design that I've loved the concept the most for, but I really feel I botched in the end so I'm excited for a do-over to get it right and change some things. improvements looking good so far!

It's been p good for the most part, definitely validates my need to watch everything prior because it's for sure been a help making scenes and characters more interesting to see either remade or expanded further. Sorceress stuff is a highlight.

Shame Queen Marlena is kinda tossed to the side, I miss the original story beats about her being from Earth as an accomplished NASA pilot. Also kinda lame addition of the King Greyskull plotline, turning He-Man & Teela into a rather Link & Zelda historical reincarnation bit. Original it was supposedly that other He-Man predecessors random people which helped the fact nobody would think about Adam because it wouldn't be a common thing for royalty to become He-Man - but this new lore explicitly states Adam as a descendant of King Greyskull. Also kinda ick that King Greyskull was a previous Sorceress's husband, as Sorceresses have so far always been shown to be a direct lineage, so now Adam is a decendant of Greyskulll and Teela is a descendant of Sorceress... anyways that's just a couple things that are pretty eh

oh yeah does Cringer or Battlecat even speak anymore I can't even remember

oh #2: King Hiss & the Snake Men suck. they were fine the first time as a nice break from an overreliance on Skelator, and even their second encounter I didn't have a issue with, but now ending the series I just want Skelator. also lol really they did a good Evil Lyn betrayal plot but then Skelator just takes her back so long as Evil Lyn promises not to do it again... and the season ends with her doing it again to summon Hordak, who's also been teased so long with no pay-off. c'mon now.

anyways up next is finally the series I started this for: jumping to She-Ra 2018!
