I sold something like six games to a friend a long time ago, but otherwise I have every game still.

Yeah, I need to sell my stuff. I grew up loving jrpgs, so I own the majority of them for the ps1. I'm never gonna replay Revelations: Persona. It's a bad game, but for reasons unknown it sells for a few hundred dollars. I have like several thousand dollars worth of stuff like this.

I had a relative pass away relatively recently, and having to clear out his place really opened my eyes to the need to declutter. Brought in a bunch of games (along with books) to a half price books so hopefully somebody else can enjoy them.

no, i basically became a collector/seller. Not quite a flipper because that implies short time periods. I usually like to have the games on the shelf for a few months at the very least

I've sold some games when I was younger, exchanged a couple, two were stolen, and a friend lost one he borrowed during a move. Otherwise I still have everything since my childhood.

Not entirely. When I was young my Dad sold our SNES and the 50+ games we had for it. From the N64 era onward I was pretty good about keeping all my games. I know a few were sold by my siblings, and a few were lent out and never returned.

But I will say I still own probably 95% of all the post n64 games I ever owned

Nah discovering trading in games to Gamestop/Gamecrazy as a teen pretty much eviscerated my old physical game collection. Really wish I had some of those still.

No. I have most of the ones I want on digital and I made like $1400 at a game store. Could have gotten way more if I used eBay and stuff.

I regretfully sold a handful of PS1 games about 10 years ago, RPGs mostly as well.

Got about $1k back then, and they would have been worth $3-4k now.

I sold my Super Nintendo, NES and Dreamcast in the 2010s, and recently sold my Genesis, 64, and Gamecube stuff earlier this year and don't regret it.

Profit is only profit if its realized. A lot of my games spiked in value during covid but have since come back down.

I sold xenosaga for 60 total. The 3rd alone now is worth like 200+. But at the time? 60 was a great used price, i paid 60 for them new in like 2013. Theres no real fundamental analysis to use to value future prices or games, its all speculation

Nope. I have my PS1 copy of FF7 and a few PS3 discs, that's it. Most of my PS3 games and all my PC and PS4 games have been digital for a long time though, so I still have all of those.

Nah I sell off when a new gen happens, until I started going just digital.

I still have a majority of them. I gave away some of my kid friendly PS1 games to my mom's coworker because she wanted games her kid could play. And in 2003 all of my PS2 and Dreamcast games were stolen when someone broke into our house.

My Genesis, N64 and PS1 games were put away, so they didn't grab those. Still have those. And I've kept all of my console games since then: Gamecube, Wii, Xbox, etc.

As far back as PS1. I lost all of my games before that going back to NES.

I dont have any physical games apart from Switch games and 2 PS5 games.

I have my wii and 3ds.

I gave my 360 to a friend who was helping me cover bills while I was unemployed, and I think all of my older systems got left behind in storage somewhere in florida. .

Since I was 11, I have only ever gotten rid of games I do not like or have duplicates of.
