there are plenty of actually good and actually mature crap out there to watch

I don't know what exactly you mean by "Mature", however Eternals definitely set itself apart from the rest of the Marvel movies by A) having an openly gay superhero and couple and B) A sex scene that was not at all ambiguous that they were lying naked on the beach together post-coitus. Sure, Stark talked a lot about nailing women, however I don't recall any depicted sex scenes with him.

I mean it was rated TV-MA so there's at least going to be more than simple cartoony violence at least.

Tbf, the issue with Secret Invasion wasn't because they were pulling punches (so to speak), but the fact that it was supposed to be a spy thriller, but there were no real twists and the final episode devolved into a CGI mess that you couldn't possibly take seriously.

Like, you literally have a shape-shifting alien race that wants to take over the world's governments and the only actual betrayal (Skrull-Rhodey) is one we saw coming from a mile away because the person was acting wildly out of character.

I'm not entirely sure how well it would do anyway, because the director stated he changed Echo's power because "he thought it was stupid."

I looked it up and she has "photographic reflexes" which means she can perfectly copy other people's movements. So if she watched an Olympic gymnast win gold on TV, she'd be able to do those exact same moves with zero experience.

Dr Strange 2 was pretty damn violent and didnt really pull many punches.

I know if I could instantly memorise and replicate a gymnastic routine, Id still fail at the first step due to my muscles not being conditioned or flexible enough and my cardio being terrible.

I'm guessing they want to emphasize more on her Indigenous heritage part, but I don't know jack about Echo in general other than what I saw in Hawkeye.

Yeah, I don't know much about her either given she's a fairly new character but from what I've read her powers are like Daredevil's in that they are thematic based on her disability rather than her heritage.
