I say this as a 30 year old myself. I don't feel much more mature than I was at 20.

I just happen to have a little more life experiences and work experience.

I also don't look that much older

I started my 30s still feeling kinda young, but as I approach 40 I'm starting to feel and look old. My lifestyle definitely doesn't help things either.

30 is when the Piper starts lightly knocking on the door of your life because the bills of your youth are coming due.

30 honestly is young. I think about 37 is when I first started to feel the shift. When I started to have body aches and feel my youth slipping away. Now I turn 48 in under 2 months and really feel it, and now I long for the days I was even 37.

I'm turning 31 in a few months and my life is pretty much over by every metric possible. Years ago it would be somewhat possible to be able to rebuild your life but it's really tough these days and not necessarily worth it.

Before 30 it sounds old. But after you get past 30, you realize how young you still were back then.

That's like the number people think is old until they reach that age. Then their whole attitude towards age changes.

Me at 17 - I hope I'm dead before I'm 30
Me at 30 - damn I still look like a teenager
Me at 40 - fuck it I'm not dead yet

For some reason I thought this would be about people with porn addicted brain rot who think women over 30 aren't sexy anymore.

I'm 42 and still feel like a teenager physically (and mentally). A few years ago, someone asked if I was a teenager and I said "no I'm 40."

I've also been exercising since 2019 every day so if anything, I feel even better now than I did at 37.

I hit 30 last year and I feel fine. Never really cared about getting older. I stretch every morning tho so that probably helps lol in my line of work mfs destroy their bodies at a young age cuz they don't stretch or work out at all.

You're only old when you make yourself feel old.

35 and I've felt no real difference between now and my early 20s honestly.

I think what you've stumbled upon here is not that 30 is young, but that people just stop maturing at 20.

30 is old enough. You've been on earth 30 years, 3 decades
You've experienced the 90s,00s,20tens, and the 20twenties.
Yep old

If you told my 87-year old grandparents that you think you're old at 30 they'd be laughing their asses off.

Are you a kid anymore at age? Absolutely not. You should have established yourself by 30 or be well on your way to doing so if you're anywhere near on track. Ideally you'll have a decent job, not living in your parents' basement (though I guess with the housing situation being what it is, we can be more flexible on that part) and dependent on them still, etc. as you've now had a full decade (20s) to mess up and try things out. But even if you don't have these things, there's still a bit of time and you're not "old" yet.

Even 40 isn't old. "Middle age" doesn't necessarily mean old. I'd say when you hit 60, yeah you're legit starting to get old.

Way I see it now, based on all the people ive known over the years.

Your an adult at 25.

Your basically a kid before this, and not fully developed. Brain capacity etc. cant imagine people getting pregnant and having kids before this. (They usually have their parents help them if that happens.)

You become responsible at 35.

Stop clubbing/playing games, start saving money and get serious about the future. This is when a man should consider having kids. Women unfortunately have to consider this earlier cause by age 35 most of their eggs are gone. Our biology sucks, women have to grow up quicker then men, cause 35 is the spot where people settle down. Women however have to do this 10 years earlier.

So, literally the last thing you said in there is likely a big subconscious part of why women will tend to date more mature. A 25 year old woman with a 35 year old guy = problem solved with what you just said.

Absolutely, men don't really become a viable prospect till 35 when they are responsible. Odds of a man screwing them/leaving the girl/ghosting her is alot lower the older they get. Whereas a younger guy just wants to pass himself around as much as he can due to his biology.

Women however dont have a need to sleep with as much people as they can so they can mature faster, meaning they are at equilibrium/same wavelength with the older males who want to settle down.

This. Was surprised to see USA at #44 for life expectancy with men being 73 and women 78.

44

So much for the richest country in the world being tied to quality of life.
