A Houston attorney has taken a plea deal after being accused of placing an abortion-inducing drug in his pregnant wife's water in 2022.

Mason Herring agreed to serve 180 days in jail and 10 years of probation.

In case you're wondering, had this man been a doctor and the woman consented to the abortion, he would be facing up to 99 years in prison, a hundred thousand dollar fine, and the loss of his medical license. Never let them tell you the abortion ban was about anything other than controlling women.

A man controlling a woman's body is fine, a woman controlling her body is worth being executed.

The woman in this case did consent though,? so all abortion meds in Texas are illegal? Sad that you said if a doctor gave it to her , the punishments would be harsher

She didn't consent. He mixed the powdered abortion-inducing drug in her drinks. She's quoted as saying...

Florida probably gets a slap on the wrist. The other two are irrelevant, because they're not making laws attacking women.

Hold on, I know firstly that abortion in Texas is fucked, but the way the article reads it sounds like he did it without her knowledge.

God fucking DAMN that's dark.

Correct. Dark is pointing out how if the woman tried to get an abortion from a doctor she and the doctor would have faced harsher penalties than her (assuming now ex-) husband did for trying to kill their fetus without her knowledge.

So if he did it seven times, that means a man trying to trick a woman into an abortion gets about 25 days of jail per attempt.

But the woman or a doctor would get life in prison.

I think we're well past that point. E.g., we might not even get a decent dissent out of the Trump disqualification case.

JFC, this. Fuck red states. Very blatantly don't give a shit about the life of the unborn, it's just an excuse to make women suffer.
