Microsoft done competing with Sony, they have now set their sights on Nintendo.

We already know the next half-decade or so of Xbox products. They're doing a Series X refresh shaped like a cylinder, updating the controller with stuff like gyro and haptic feedback, and introducing something similar to a Steam Deck.

The Bethesda/Sony lawsuit discovery showcased that M$ wanted to run screaming out of the console race, exclusivity, and just become a gigantic publisher. It was only their current CEO's gamble with GamePass that has extended their stay in the game. Word in the bathroom has been the second life of the Ps5, the undying Switch, and the surprise efficacy of the Steam Deck have been kicking them while they're down too hard and they want out again.

Recently they announced no more exclusives, and now this. A handheld gamepass ecosystem ala Steam Deck is absolutely what's coming for the next and only Microsoft console.

But do they not realize WHY the switch is doing well? Probably not

Eh. as long as it has a docked mode it'd work. Sounds more interesting than the last 2 consoles..

Imagine if Microsoft allied with Nintendo and it turned out the next Xbox and the next Switch is the same console

So they are not going third-party?
