I don't dislike showers, but I prefer baths. I get too cold in a shower, even with very hot water.

I haven't had a bath since I was a kid.

Aren't baths more likely to give UTIs since you're just sitting in the dirtied water?

My bath's tap splitter has been broken for a while now so I haven't had a bath in so long, I miss them...

Well I can imagine if you're depressed you don't want to and honestly I've had times where I don't feel like doing it because it feels like an interruption to my day and also I have to feel cold afterwards. But generally I do enjoy it. If your shower is shitty or gross it's also a chore.

I have to shower everyday cuz my hair gets real oily for some reason and I don't like that

Those who are neurodivergent might have sensory issues when it comes to taking them (the pressure from the water hitting their skin can be a lot, and even the feeling of being wet can be too much)

That, and executive dysfunction can make even getting into the shower a huge task, no matter how much you tell yourself to just do it

Yeah, a good chunk of this phenomenon comes from depressive "inertia" for lack of a better term.

Any number of reasons why, a common one is sort of like "choice paralysis" where taking a shower isn't "shower on, clothes off, in you go," it's mentally obsessing over every single step of the process, getting overwhelmed, and deciding against it.

Yeah Ive had friends who act like its the biggest inconvenience and youre wasting time by taking longer than a couple minutes. Theyd get annoyed with me for taking a long time (like when waiting for me to come back online if were playing a game) and imply Im fapping or something. Lmao in reality I just love bathing/showering.

yeah for me its just clean my body and hair thoroughly as fast as i can then out in 10 to 15 minutes its not relaxing its just a thing that i find neccessary to do for cleanliness and nothing more or enjoyable...i wish i find it relaxing i just find it a boring routinely thing
