About 7.

If you count some of the jobs I did as a kid that I didn't get paid for like i Should I would say about 7. Example on of those was a Super for my Grandmother. I would fix her houses. And when she pass my dad let those go to my cousins who did jack shit when I spent years maintaining them. To this day I will call up my pops and be like you cost me everything and hang up.

um, let me think.
1.Data Entry (my dad got me the job, I just did it for two summers in high school)
2.Delivered pizza for Papa Johns
3.Delivered pizza for Pizza hut
4.Long distance delivery driver (basically a trucker, but I drove a cargo van)
5.Delivered pizza for Dominos
6.Telemarketer (for a day, I hated it)
7.Courier (our primary client was florida blood services, but we had other random jobs)
8.Telemarketer again (also for a day. Not sure why i thought i'd like it more the second time)
9.Delivered pizza for Pizza Hut again
10.Convenience store Cashier
11.Warehouse receiving clerk
12.Warehouse porter: I rode one of those big floor cleaning machines up and down the aisles and did other cleaning tasks when it was being serviced. Same company as the receiving clerk job, I just changed position, because the hours were more consistent.
13.Pizza delivery for Pizza Hut again
14-17. I worked for a temp company. Had four jobs before getting hired on by the fourth company.
First was a cleaner, second was a picker, third was a line worker, fourth was also a line worker, but for a different company. third company did ceramic tile, fourth did pill bottles.
18.Got hired onto the fourth company.
19.Pizza delivery for Pizza hut again.

I also got my real estate license, but I never sold anything or really pursued it, so i'm not going to count that.

So 19 jobs, although some of those were very short lived.

Hmm, let's see. Not counting studies as a job, although one of them was on behalf of a company

3 experience placements from school. Not counting these.
5 random Saturday or evening jobs as a teenager
3 main jobs, although one of them was only for 1-2 months, and I'm not counting one I only did for one day
3 side projects, but only one of these lasted longer than a few months

So it's somewhere between 7 and 11, by chance exactly the limits on one of your categories.

Being underpaid comes with the territory but the benefits make up for it, imo. Also, I need the structure the lifestyle provides.

  1. Grocery store
  2. Drug store
  3. Bowling alley
  4. Amusement park (Geauga Lake)
  5. The same amusement park again, but under Six Flags this time
  6. Movie rental store
  7. Convenience store
  8. Commissary warehouse at a sports stadium
  9. Commercial plant nursery
  10. Automotive upholstery shop
  11. Gas station
  12. Data cabling business

I've cast a pretty wide net, I guess. I think the stadium warehouse and my current data cabling jobs have been my favorite. They're the only two where I haven't hated either my bosses or the customers with a passion. I was pretty damn great in the warehouse and was on track for a management position in the next year, but their contract expired and they got outbid for the next season. The new company only kept like 3 people from the entire staff. I'm still salty about it.

I used to be a contractor at DeCa. After speaking with a lot of the military guys, I'm on the fence about whether you come out ahead with those benefits or not. Not knocking you for enjoying that lifestyle structure though. Personally I hated the red tape of working there and love private sector.

3 jobs. 2 were Accounting Firms, both were heavily underpaid + no benefits.

3rd and current one is a Call Center. Despite the stories of them, I only took calls for 1 year, got a promotion to managment (so, I don't deal with customers calling for their problems), and just today I got another promotion (still in management, just more focused on client/site relationships). It's also work from home, so it is quite comfy.

This is a surprisingly difficult question...

Job 1
Job 2/3/4 (Company A was bought by Company B who outsourced my job to Consulting Company C who hired most of those that were outsourced from Company B...to do the IT work for Company B)
Job 5 (My Current)

I guess my answer would be 4 since that wasn't part of a merger, and I did have to interview for my job back to work for the consulting firm. The whole thing was terrible.
