Funny thing while watching this, I realized that I was a target and so was a friend of mine and I got out of it by not responding anymore. I was targeted by text messaging and just stopped responding when they started to ask for too much info. He got targeted while he was deep into dating apps after the end of an 18 year relationship. I basically told him what he already knew, which was one "girl" pursuing him was a basic bitcoin bro scammer. I didn't know they were connected or the extent of all this, but if two savvy individuals like us nearly got drawn in, be very afraid for all of your less savvy family members. Get them all to watch this video and tell them all the other stuff you know they need to know.

I hate that guy. I'll watch it, but he looks like a lego accountant.

Yeah but in all honesty, this "season" (if you can even call it that, I feel like they just take breaks to do research and then knock out episodes whenever they are ready) has been great.

It's always nice to sit back with a glass of bourbon at the end of a long day and remember all the reasons the world sucks.

It's incredible how much John Oliver has completely surpassed all his TDS/TCB contemporaries in terms of actual journalism.

I didn't love this episode, but last week's on Supreme Court ethics and Clarence Thomas was excellent.

In a lot of ways LWT is closer to Adam Ruins Everything than The Daily Show.

john oliver's journalism is pretty fantastic. he gets away with lecturing you about boring but important topics thanks to the horse-fucking jokes

And I would appreciate the material regardless. It just makes it harder to share with parents and others who won't appreciate that humor.
