SpawnShadow 03/04/24 9:14:49 PM #9:	Well, 9/11 and the War on Terror hadn't yet given the US a nationwide case of PTSD, Russia was still too weak to do much of anything, climate change hadn't gotten quite so extreme (to the point that we actually did manage to start healing the ozone layer), most college-educated people in developed countries could still afford basic housing and cars on average wages, and most of us here in the US were still blissfully ignorant of the looming threat of Republican-sponsored Christofascism, so I'd say that overall, '98 was a pretty good year, if only by comparison to what would come and hit us later down the line (especially post-2016; the past six years and change have been a long fucking nightmare that only slightly let up once Biden won in 2020). <cite>SpawnShadow posted [p:979190966] in Was 1998 a... During summer my family moved to a place I didn't like at first, and my best friend left.
