Sounds like the pipes weren't buried deep enough if a car can damage them like that. Unless the driver was driving some super heavy vehicle.

Yep. A lot of people in the subreddit were saying the pipes weren't up to code if they could be burst so easily

If something wasnt built to code, then its the homeowners problem. No way the pipes were deep enough if they broke.

Let them try and get the money back from doordash.

Most policies have a deductible that unless the damage is thousands of dollars it seldom makes sense to file a claim. My policy has a $5k deductible so basically something catastrophic needs to happen

There would have to be a reasonable expectation from the driver that such a thing could occur from their actions, and pipes not being up to code is not a reasonable expectation. Itd be different if they, say, drove over something visible above ground, but what they did in and of itself isnt something theyd be likely to be found liable for.
