I've seen this sentiment expressed before, and I think the idea is basically that the things that make Biden weakest as a candidate in the public conscious, like his age, are the only things Trump isn't willing to attack him about. Since Trump is so embarrassed about his own age and mental competency.

I've seen trump make fun of Biden age plenty while in the same speech have his own brain short out.

I think Republicans would have a better shot definitely than Trump. But because they fully embraced Trump in 2021, they have no shot but to ride that horse until it dies.

It's truly mindblowing. Though I think with how partisan voting has become since 2016, it may lose the edge it once had, since now it'll always be vote against Dems or Republicans. And honestly, I'm fine with that.

My dark horse prediction? He won't make it to 2028.

Everyone seems to have forgotten for now that the man literally stole classified secrets from the United States government, and there is a reasonable possibility that he 1) is still in possession of some of them, and 2) that he sold some of them to foreign parties.

No. Hillary lost due to being a very unlikable candidate who was far too complacent, failed to connect with voters, and didn't even campaign in the states she needed to, and because people who would usually vote blue decided to stay home instead in protest.

No one should say the primary system is effective at finding good candidates when Hillary Clinton was the only person who could lose to Trump. Trump also won a primary twice.

The democratic party is not ideologically close to Bernie. They hate the idea of actual affordable healthcare and education, they love war, and they love the vast wealth inequality. The democratic party aligns with their donors and their donors are just as rich as republican donors (often donating to both parties). Primary voter participation rate is even more abysmal than the general and is mostly made of party diehards who just gulp down whatever the party tells them to gulp down.

Keep patting yourself on the back for the democratic party favorite winning the democratic party popularity contest, though. That rock-solid process gave us hillary who lost to a clown in the actual election that matters.

Sanders keeps running as an independent for his Senate seat. He only decided when running for President to run as a Democrat as he wouldn't win otherwise. As such, I can't blame the Democratic Party for not wanting to support him, even if the country could benefit from some of the policies Sanders was suggesting.

Just wish the Party had a better alternative candidate in 2016 to face Trump, not that either Hillary or Bernie could have beat Trump. Did President Obama ever have an intended successor? It sure wasn't Hillary considering their history...

The electoral college is bad but the primary system is good somehow.

They're both bad at finding good candidates.

Bernie could have won in 2020 against Trump if Bernie had spent the time since his 2016 campaign building momentum, making the right alliances, etc... in order to actually have momentum when the 2020 campaign came. But he didn't, so when the 2020 campaign came along Bernie had very little to show for his previous 4 years. Why would you want to vote for him for president?

This isn't even a "DNC screwed Bernie" thing, its a "Bernie wasn't a good candidate" thing.

And Bernie did his job anyways. Biden is like, the most progressive president we've had in decades. Bernie wouldn't have been able to do half the stuff Biden has accomplished in his 4 years.
