outside of sequels i think i'm going to check out that train girl anime at the start of the season, the spice and wolf reboot, the bartender reboot, that band anime, that racing anime, the golf anime, the crow guy show, the hitman guy anime (not sure if there's any hope of me sticking with it for more than 1 cour but eh), the doga kobo drama, the youkai slice of life show, the sentai show, the cycling one (very low expectations though), the manhwa adaptation since one of my flatmates has read it, the kaiju series that... seems oddly venom-esque, and the yuri anime

oh and sand land too if that counts (i mean it already started so shrug)

I'm definitely more excited for new stuff next season than sequels, there are lots of potentially amazing ideas. The more I think about it, that Train to the End of the World show sounds great. Cute girls apocalypse, let's do it.

Also, it bugs me that there are still a lot of shows that haven't been announced for streaming yet, particularly the Highspeed Etoile futuristic racing one and the Rinkai girls cycling one. The angel apartment harem one is even starting this Saturday and still hasn't been picked up by anyone.

Morbidly curious to see the reaction to Re:Monster, one of my least favourite Isekais.

After years and years of being an anime fan, I finally finished my first manga! (I'm reading Dark Gathering and 7th Time Loop too but they're ongoing. I've also finished a four volume one that wasn't very good, it was just so short that it shouldn't really count.)

Engaged to the Unidentified is my favorite anime, and I was always sad it didn't go beyond one season. Since the manga ended, I started reading it... and binged the whole thing in three days. I wasn't sure if the anime's perfection would carry over into print form, but thankfully it did. My only complaint is that the grammar in the scanned translations was dodgy at times, especially early on. Then again, who am I to complain about free translations. The people who did that work and enabled me to read this story are heroes.

This manga was romantic comedy slice-of-life perfection. It's honestly impressive how a story with only twelve actual characters managed to stay so fresh for its entire 187 chapter run. I loved how all the different character combinations had their own running gags, and they kept finding angles to craft new jokes or situations. Kobeni and Hakuya have the most adorable romance ever. Mashiro is the funniest, cutest girl ever. Even Benio's over-the-top siscon antics had me laughing more often than not. As for side characters, my favorite running gag was that Suetsugi kept wandering in at just the right time to witness something embarrassing and then there'd be that hilarious silent reaction panel. It never got old!

I guess another complaint is that it didn't have much of an ending. It just kept on going with the slice-of-life stuff until it just kind of stopped. On the one hand, I'm sad there wasn't some big final arc. On the other hand, I suppose the author is the one in the best position to realize that maybe they should stop before things started going stale. In any case, Engaged to the Unidentified was a wonderful manga.

I'm not sure where I'm going to go from here. I feel like I've already finished the best manga ever. Everything from now on is going to be going downhill

Reminder to anyone watching Konosuba S3 that you really should watch the Legend of Crimson movie first. It was just a straight continuation of the show into the next light novel (back when they thought there would never be a S3), and contains key character development.

LTM has had me blocked for awhile. I doubt he ever changes his mind unfortunately.

And yes, I finished it and loved it! Tempted to rewatch it to see all the hints Ill catch this time around.

I imagine the anime has a better time fleshing out the ending than the manga. Glad you enjoyed it, would have been awkward if you turned into one of those weird titanfolk on reddit lmao

Are there any other good recent battle shounen ongoing at SJ right now? Been meaning to take up Kagurabachi since it got so meme'd on reddit.

As for the other topic on hand. I've gotten a lot of input. Mac and Roba has urged peace. But there's also a large segment of the b8anime screw that swing the other way. I'm not going to name names, suffice to say they don't view LTM in a favorable light. I have given my terms to Mac though, I will unblock LTM on the one condition that he never be allowed to make these topics again because there's a lot of other people that he has either blocked or other people have him on ignore.

This isn't reddit or twitter where you can just block 100 people per day and never run out of interactions. It's silly and just creates an echo chamber if you block the 20 people that still show up to board 8.

I'm very pro Kagurabachi, I wasn't all that aware of the reddit/twitter memes for it.

Sakamoto Days is the big action series that doesn't have an anime though.
I like it, the powers are pretty self explanatory so you don't have pages and pages breaking down the abilities and their conditions. It's usually a quick realisation mid battle.

This lets the author use less speech bubbles and focus on his fights building towards cool double page spreads.
As an added benefit, the fights have some of the best sense of movement in the magazine which makes the action feel much faster paced.

It's on Hidive, sadly. Also, one of the main characters in EttU, Benio, is a siscon creep so it's difficult to recommend to regular people. I think she's hilarious and she never crosses the line, but the fact that she gets close to the line at all on certain things would be a dealbreaker for a lot of people.

Since it sounds like you two usually watch romance stuff, I'd instead recommend Snow White with the Red Hair if you haven't seen it yet. Plus people often compare it to Yona of the Dawn, which you're backing in the anime save-my.

I think you guys ignoring each other is fine. My understanding is you could still get a direct link to the topics and participate (which seems fair since ignoring the creator would be your choice). Blocking each other is dumb though. It's not like anyone on B8 is stalking and harassing each other.

I guess I'll leave it to Mac to bring those terms over to the other topic. I wouldn't mind making more anime topics, if that's what it comes down to. I don't have anyone blocked. We can have more of my uninspired topic titles and polls!

Your topic titles are actually fine lol. I don't think I've made the anime topic since maybe 2019 or 2020. The old members have since stopped watching anime except Mac and SHINE lol. And a few that do watch don't post here that much because of petty shit like this lol
