$250 to sit where? if that's down on the floor and up close, that makes sense. for arena shows i usually go for seats as far down in the lower bowl and as close to the center / soundboard as i can get. those typically run in the low $100s. floor seats have a shitty view of the stage most of the time, so i prefer lower bowl, and the sound is mixed by the guy at the soundboard, so it sounds the best close to that.

The good seats are already sold out. I went to Bonnaroo for three days for around $400 and got to be upfront for many popular artists/groups.

Thanks for the explanation! And yeah, that's pretty pricey, but if it's a really special event/she loves Hozier, I would consider it.

Hoziers playing an outdoor venue about a mile from my house this summer and if the wind is right we can hear it clear as day from our front yard

theres a park adjacent to the venue, we might just go and listen to the show from there

but yeah face value for tickets were like $80+ and it sold out super fast. Didnt know so many people cared about him

Shes a much bigger Lana Del Ray fan. Hozier is like 8th or 9th on her favorites. I know she would be mad as hell if I spent $500 on concert tickets lol

The $250 is third-party sellers, right? Id take a look on local Reddit/Facebook groups for people selling closer to face value

doesn't help for a birthday gift but you can usually get tix for cheaper closer to the date of the show as people look to unload tix for things that came up

worst case scenario Ive been able to buy tickets outside the venue on the day of

Theyre probably from a third party seller, but Ive been to plenty of concerts. If we buy them outside the venue the day of theyll for sure be more expensive. She would much rather have a rare monstera or other plants for that kind of money. I appreciate the tips, though.

nah right now the only people selling are scalpers trying to make a profit

if you wait until the week/day of youll be able to buy from people who genuinely cant go and are just looking to sell their tickets to cover their cost or even just give them away so someone else can enjoy it. especially for a big show like Hozier there are bound to be people doing this

I've gotten plenty of free and cheap tickets to sold out shows this way

(but I know that doesnt help you with the bday present of course)
