NO ONE should be encouraging others to become refs. You might as well encourage people to become cops with that logic

No I'm just saying a walk in their shoes for one day approach.

They did something similar with cops I believe but virtual or augmented reality type of thing and a surprising amount of people shot a innocent.

I never hurt anyone at the prison but I can attest to the constant feeling that shit can get real bad at any moment. I should have actually been more aggressive one day. Busted a dude for a shank. But it was cold out so before cuffing him I told him to get dressed. He started tearing through his locker and after I saw him throw out plenty of clothes and he still wasn't getting dressed I grabbed ahold of him and forcibly cuffed him

They found another shank after that. He was looking for his second shank to stab me with. I coulda died that day had he not forgotten where he had it.

It is an easy story to stir the pot. Nobody on CE actually cares about the WNBA or College. But it riles people up for some entertaining drama.

I wouldn't be surprised. At all. Cops are trained to shoot any and everyone.

We had a cop on 261--I always forget his name, or I would @ him to confirm this for you--that explained he went through a training scenario where there target was an elderly woman. He was yelled at by his trainer for not drawing his weapon on a senior citizen because, "Anyone can be a danger, and she could have had a weapon."

Wilding, but he said that's the expectation and not the exception (my paraphrase) when it comes to conditioning and training cops.

These where untrained people I'm talking about.

I had different training than cops. But COs don't quite get that immunity cops get.

Who got to experience just a little of cop training. And that little of cop training had them shooting innocents by the end of it.

Wasn't that part of your point? That it would be good to walk in someone's shoes, like these people who walked for a second in cop shoes?

The point of the exercise was to demonstrate how easy it was to see something ad a threat when having to make split second decisions. Anyways this is getting off topic.
