Fighters can make better archers than Rangers

its never a problem for me because i always only have 1-2 mains, i love seeing dlc characters announced but i never bought them. also i never been a fan of fighters that die on 3 months, ive always been just a tekken and street fighter guy.

The thing about Fighters is, action surge is so busted everyone just wants that 2 levels.

Thankfully online matchmaking is fucking redundant in 2024 thanks to single player content no longer being an afterthought ie. Tekken.
And despite all the atrocious P2W schemes out of Netherrealm, the core features still provides players with competent AI fighters for progression. Who cares about being the best around anymore within a toxic community.

They don't really do that anymore with dlc being a normal practice in the fighting game genre. The reason you see the game go down in price quickly is because they know how strong FOMO is for day 1 purchase, especially when you're trying to find other players equal to your skill range. By the time you buy the game on sale, the playerbase goes down drastically so you're either fighting players who have no idea what they're doing or pro players that will mop the floor with you in seconds. It's a problem that can only be fixed with having high volumes of players available for online matches, something many fighters struggle with.

That's not been true in my experience.

Yeah it's sucks that fighting games have become like this. Why release all the characters with the base game when you can nickel and dime the players with dlc.
