Because he is. He would be infinitely worse than Biden, for reasons that SHOULD be obvious, but apparently they aren't. And you either not voting for Biden or not voting at all, IS a vote for Trump. It's either one or the other. There is no "third-party vote", there is no "I'm not gonna vote". It's either Biden or Trump. That's the only choices we have. Distilling the election down to the pure pass/fail that it is, not voting tactically helps Trump. There's no reason to do that unless you actually like Trump, or are too dumb to know how our election system works.

On a broader scale, no. Biden has been pretty amazing through and through, and is actively making things better for the average person.

As somebody who thought Biden did great as VP but wasn't optimistic when I voted for him, he's well surpassed my expectations. I don't envy the slightest the lose-lose situation he's in.

Agreed. I dont know why we keep getting these when one of the two possible winners tried to overthrow the government and install himself in power when he didnt win. On national TV. The top of a long list of corruption.

Of course the Democrats can do better. Of course Biden is not the ideal candidate. Now can we just get past it, get on with it, and vote for Democrats to ensure we actually have a working government going forward?

I would love to again live in a world where policy differences matter and the party we would normally support needs to earn our vote. But the GOP is a bad faith actor that has turned that into fantasyland. When the difference is between the average flawed political party and a bad faith actor who disrupted the peaceful transfer of power that is the hallmark of any stable government, you vote for the average flawed party and worry about the rest later.

We didnt do that in 2016, and now women cant get basic health care and the joke SC is seriously considering whether our President might have immunity if he or she orders political rivals beaten or some such atrocities. Are we ever going to learn any lessons here, or are some voters going to keep pretending that these political entities are equivalent in any way?
