most hated household chore?

I dont mind, until like June. Then its too hot and I just want to get it over with.

Not really. It's a bit boring, but at least it's a bit of exercise. It only really sucks when it's hot out.

I hate how sweaty and dirty it makes me feel. I don't like manual labor. I'm not built for it. It would bother me less if I could consistently only need to do it in the earlier part of the day before the sun is shining too much.

yeah kinda agree. so you have a white collar job then, you hate manual labor too?

Not exactly. I work with kids with autism. So its not an office job and it can be physically demanding at times.

Quite enjoy it, really. Good exercise and fresh air.

Most hated chore is sorting/folding/putting away laundry.

No offense, but mowing the lawn really falls in the bottom half of the totem pole of the most hated house/property management chores.

I can easily think of other worse tasks than that.

Cleaning out the gutters, fixing/replacing fence posts, trimming/cutting down trees and lugging them on to the trailer, routine sewage drain clean-out, regrouting your shower walls and floor tiles to prevent mold and water leakage, resealing window corners, etc.

For me, mowing my lawn calms me down and serves as a mini-organizer in my mind.

Yes. It fucking sucks.
I'm allergic to cut grass, my yard has all kinds of damn contouring and slopes so doing straight lines is a pain in the ass, and there's bugs so I have to wear long sleeves and pants even when it's fucking hot out.
By the end, I'm running inside to wash my face and shower b/c my eyes are burning, even w/ goggles on.

Ive always of yard work like baseball. Im excited for it in April-June but by July Im over it

every 2 weeks, which is already more often than I'd like

And I'm just letting it fucking grow while it's peak allergy season b/c I don't even want to be outside in general, let alone cutting grass.

I need a good groundcover that only grows a few inches and fucking STOPS....

I ran over a yellow jacket hole and they got angry and chased me inside the house, one got stuck inside my baggy T-Shirt and kept stinging me until he died.

I pay a guy now. He works for a regular landscaping company during the week and makes pocket money under the table on the weekends. $65 every two weeks to mow, blow, and go. He has a commercial zero turn so he gets it all done in like 45 minutes.

Wow, yellow jackets. Wasp right, so they can sting like 5 times

I enjoy mowing the lawn and gardening. Being outside when it is warm feels great and much better than staying inside

Never had to do it.

We bought a nice rider so its really not much work. Put on some tunes, put ear protection on and drive around.

I don't really mind it, but I saw a small snake while I was mowing the lawn yesterday. It's his lawn now.

Why would anyone wanna mow a lawn when they could just do drugs?

I miss doing it. It was relaxing, albeit hurts the ears a bit.

I do remember many wars fought with the wasps that nested around my childhood home though.

I don't mind mowing lawns, I just hate mowing my parents lawn. Mom is a flower nut so she has bushes, trees, and flowers all over. Thankfully they decided to get rid of the back yard and replace it with crushed stone, which is something I'll be doing for my own property whenever I can afford one.

Nope, not even on a hot day. Just throw off the shirt and get in some good exercise.
Dealing with snow is a lot worse IMO

I quite like doing the washing up.

New house and I can mow front and back in like 25 minutes, so it's not bad at all

Its relaxing

But a more significant pain in the ass if I leave it for more than a week.

I hated mowing my lawn because I had two mowers and they both consistently got gunked up with clippings instead of just neatly mulching the grass, didn't seem to matter what conditions I mowed in.

Next house I buy, if I have to mow the lawn the first thing I'm doing is buying one of those robot mowers.

Never liked it when I was younger.

No lawn now. Most hated is cleaning the bathtub. Even with magic erasers, it's still arduous.

Used to like it until I bought a house on a corner lot. That shit took like two hours to cut plus about 30 for cleanup. Then Id be all gross and sweaty and exhausted.

I pay someone to do it now. Getting my time and energy back is worth it. They do a much better job than me anyway.
