When you start getting old, time really does go faster.

I heard somewhere that a minute for someone in their 80's or so and 12 seconds for a 6 year old are subjectively the same amount of time from their perspectives.

Dunno where I heard it or how true it is but it's playing out in my own life.

That's sorta my guess. I wonder if it scales that way, like in the above example, is 12 seconds the same portion of a 6 year old's life as one minute of an 80 year old's?

Yeah, I guess it's not.

I think a lot of it has to do with the days becoming repetitive once you are set in your "career".

Wake up.
Go to work.
Come home.
Go to bed.

Repeat x5, then repeat for 40+years with random events happening every few weeks to break up the monotony.
