Seems like the new tactic is to put people on ignore so that the topic only has people piling on Biden.

Probably because it has been done to death on CE, so the only people left to talk about it are
A. people who need to rant
B. trolls
C. people who didn't participate in the previous topics.

Don't forget that 50% of political topics eventually devolve into two people arguing with one another for several pages, which drives away any potential future participants.

Biden has been shit, it's just Trump is literally an existential crisis for US democracy. It's not a contest. But yes some posters are posting in bad faith pretending to be leftists or care about issues they think could cause people to not vote for Biden because they actually want Trump to win.

I don't really think it's a useful critique either. The camps differ too much to bother with comparisons. Having to explain the meaning all the time just complicates discussions.

The topics are probably meant to drive pressure against the politician to change course, or against their supporters to pressure them to pressure the politician to change course, like any call out of any politician.

Redirecting the pressure from the politician to the complainer doesn't seem like it's gonna achieve anything. People are still gonna be mad and do what they do, only with an added element of spite that you tried to shut down legitimate complaints and gave the politician room to dismiss them.

That is true sometimes (though if the accusation ends up incorrect that can be another can of worms), but adding personal elements to a political discussion is not helpful. Whether the TC is a troll or not there are people who genuinely agree with their point and they're gonna be pissed if it seems like others are focusing on the TC to deflect from that point.

If anything Aloc blocking the people who do that helped make his topic more productive, since it allowed more focus on the legitimate rebuttal that the protestors are potentially behaving in a counterproductive manner that risks trading one pro-Israel president for a far more pro-Israel president under the influence of foreign interference. If the method itself can be criticized in a convincing manner there's no actual need to target the individual.

With Aloc's history is he even still gonna be on CE by election time? His personal intentions are trivial.

That's why we so desperately want Biden to stop alienating voters and risking a Trump victory by arming and funding a genocide.

And that's perfectly fine. But whether he does or not, the fact of the matter is the alternative is Trump. So bite your tongue and do what's right. And if you think not voting is right, then you are definitely wrong, and don't understand the consequences of why that is.

At the end of the day, these two are our only choices that we are stuck with. By not voting, gives a Trump an edge. If you truly understand that Trump is worse, why would you give him an edge, just because you don't like what Biden is doing? This is why people say that by you not voting means you would rather Trump win, because that is how it'll end up going. The comprehension of that is quite simple, yet many of you don't seem to grasp it. Why is that?

That seems to be a common response. Hell, I was getting that shit back in the primaries. I was told if you voted for Marianne or uncommitted, you were helping Trump. In the Dem primary. Figure that one out.
