It would make more sense if you saw his sister. She is basically born with the full abilities Paul develops over years.

Picture a kid so small it cant even form words correctly that already has the knowledge of an adult and the abilities of a Bene Gesserit.

Its like the rules vampires had about turning children in the Anne Rice books.

Eventually its born. Getting feedback from the kid as it pops out is bound to be jarring.

Whats wrong with that? Seems like thats a good way to get the sisterhood more powerful, faster. I assume with the knowledge of an adult, the child wont have child-like tendencies (like unable to control emotions), so theres like no negative here.

That's not a normal thing that should happen.

Consequences will be seen in Dune Messiah.

Getting all the benefits without having to do any of the work. That couldnt possibly be bad.

I mean the mother became omnipresent and able to see the future and stuff by just drinking that worm liquid and didnt work up her way to get to that point she was just in the right place at the right time.

Paul also got his voice and omnipresence by drinking that worm liquid too, and didnt do any work either; he just assumed he can survive since he has main character syndrome, even though its been said no man can survive.

The amount of incorrect you managed there is actually impressive. But since you clearly dont have any idea what was going on when Im assuming you walked through a room where Dune was being watched I wont bother.

By your own post It makes perfect sense.
They were adults before they even got the worm liquid but this baby got exposed in the womb.

They're stellar pieces of media and should absolutely not be missed by anyone who claims to be a science fiction fan.

Meh... I think there's just too much lore to pack into this kind of movie, a visual feast. It really suffers from not being more dialogue driven. Show don't tell is generally better, but I just feel like there's too much going on to focus on big pretty shots that take the place of much needed exposition.

I get people being confused/frustrated by some of the plot. It's not super easy or intuitive for casual viewers.

Spice enhancement triggers ancestral memories and fast forwards development so she's basically given a conscious mind (and beyond) before she's born. Ancestral memories are dangerous if your personality and sense of self are weak. She hasn't been born yet so the memories and influences could drive her mad.

When a foetus is exposed to ancestral memories, they have no self to maintain their own personality because they haven't had the chance to develop one yet.

This leads to the possibility of an ancestor personality taking over.

so the deal is that you need a strong will or the will of your evil ancestors will take you over.

Jessica's daughter doesn't even have a personality, so when the child gets all the memories it's basically already obliterated. The evil women in her bloodline will manifest as her personality.

Even if you dont know the context of what happens in Dune Messiah, I feel like the movie doesnt really need to explain more about why this is a bad thing.

An unborn baby with full consciousness and future vision that actively communicates with her mother should quite obviously raise several red flags on its own
