Sorry to hear that. That always has to be an intimidating thing in this current climate. Hope things turn around quickly for you and you have a safety net in place.

Every time I lose my job I land on my feet. I went from a crap ass middle income job, to a decent job that hit 6 figures sometimes, and was part time remote, to a solid 6 figure job that was full time remote, and now I was laid off two months ago with 16 weeks severance pay. I was fired from one of those jobs too (not this last one). I'll find another good job again. My resume is better every time I'm on the market.

the last thing you'll want to do is give up.

Also, make sure you apply for UI. When you are laid off, it is automatically approved, they have no argument. You just won't see any money until after severance ends.

Don't give up, and just absolutely be willing to accept a "filler" job, if you have to. I was laid off from the tech sector last year, and I, at one point, accepted what amounted to a call center job for half the pay, in the meantime, simply to have SOMETHING, and because it was remote. I did that for a short bit while using my free time to beef up my skills to improve my resume, and I got back into what I wanted to do.
