246lbs in april to 206lbs today. 5'10".

I've lost 90% of my excess fat. Simply from diet change. My metabolism has caught up too. My cheat days don't affect me at all.

I've reached the point where I can start lifting and not just be a strong fat guy lol, get some actual definition.

Only downside is I now need a whole new wardrobe. Literally everything but socks. I finally got a pair of jeans I'd been wanting for years but could never fit in.

I went from size 46 pants to size 38 pants. And went from xl shits to large shirts.

My body type is naturally stocky so I can only get about as low as 180 without starting to look sickly. My doc says 185-195 is good for my body type.

I've lost 30 since April! High five man.

I was 280 in April and I'm 240 now. I'm 6'3".

I'm wearing 38 pants at the moment and none of my belts are tight enough to keep them up. I want to try 32 but I cbf buying new clothes yet. I got a job and eventually just started trying to be a bit healthier then at the start of June I started walking 7kms a day. A month into that I sprained my ankle and had to stay off it for a month where I just went to eating less and going for occasional walks.

At the moment I've quit smoking weed (I was an every day smoker) so I don't have cravings for trash food constantly, only drink water (unless it's alcohol) and try to walk about 4kms most days of the week with the occasional jog.

Pretty proud, I just wish I knew when the actual weight started coming off or if it's been a gradual thing.

I know you're talking to the TC, but with my 30lbs I can't even tell the difference >_<

The way we perceive ourselves is so fucking weird. I still think I look exactly the same.

I also have that guy on ignore, whoever he is.

As for people asking what you should change in your diet, it's just the basic stuff.
Most people get fat because of drinks with lots of sugar and because they eat late.

Whenever I need to lose some weight, I just stop drinking everything except for water and natural juices.
Don't eat bread, don't eat fried stuff and don't eat after like 7pm.
And don't eat any candy, either.
Always works for me.

I think I can thank 80% of my weight loss to this. I only drink water now.

I've only just added bread to my diet, but I try and get the multigrain whatever super healthy bullshit even though I know it's still a carb dump. Without smoking weed I don't think I'm getting enough calories as it is.

I've found just cooking from fresh ingredients is the answer. I think that's one of those things with quitting weed that has really helped me, I'm not too zombied out all the time to actually cook. Buy heaps of take away containers and just cook healthy meals every day and get a stock pile so you're never tempted to just go out and buy fast food.

I think the key is not any specific diet, but to be mindful when eating. Practicing mindfulness is probably the best thing you can do in general, but especially if you have a problem with over-eating.

I watch these guys chug 64 ounces of cola straight and the look on their face is just that of someone that isn't thinking about what he's even drinking or doing to his body. Mindfulness doesn't come from deprivation diets, it comes from just thinking about what you're eating yourself into and challenging a lot of faulty beliefs about certain foods (like "you can't get the energy without your energy drink" type of stuff, if that were true astronauts would all drink energy drinks, and none of them do.)

Yeah man, it's insane. If you start exercising more you'll give yourself more reason not to over-eat as you'll realize how much work you have to put in to make up for

That 100%. It's insane. I used to order a pizza (1300 cals), garlic bread (478 cals) and a 1.25 litre Coke (540 cals) and eat it in one sitting, then be hungry about 5-6 hours later. It was fucking insane... and if I got desserts too you'd end up eating 2 days worth of food.

Well, what did you change?

My diet consists almost entirely of steel cut oats, granola, veggies, fruits, and fish and chicken. That's it.

During weekends I actually cook nice meals, and once a week I eat something horrible for you but delicious. Gets any cravings out of the way. My portions are also real low compared to what they used to be.

90% of your excess fat? What? Let's say you were 50% body fat before. You weren't since that's a crazy high number, but it just illustrates the point that would make even more sense with a lower number. So that's 136 pounds of fat. If you got rid of 90% of that you'd have 13.6 pounds of fat. Which at your current weight is roughly 6.6% body fat. And unless you look like an adonis, I don't think that's right. I also didn't take account into the fact that you need at least some body fat to live so not all 6.6 is excess, but that doesn't change much.

When I say excess fat, I mean the fat above what my actual fat percentage should be.

That's the beauty of it, the only food I actually keep in my house is my good stuff, so if I'm tempted, my only options are good ones. Now my willpower has adjusted and I don't really go nuts craving stuff.

The number one thing is to cut your sugar way, way way down. The only sugar you should be getting is from natural sources like fruit. I only drink water and unsweet tea now basically, except on weekends. Portion control too. JustMyOpinion posted...

I found that a little suspect. BMI isn't a horrible measure for people who don't lift and it since he said he's thinking about starting lifting so I assume he hasn't done it yet. I doubt he'd have to be overweight by BMI standards to not look sickly. I've got quads like whoa and I definitely wouldn't look sickly at 180 even if I didn't lift. I'm an inch shorter too.

N9t my bmi, my family are all a bunch of Nordic strongman types. Broad shoulders, wide hips, etc..

I work third shift. 6pm to 4am. I have to eat late night. For me it's a matter of not eating after 1-2am.
