Probably between 30-40. Major AAA games get up there though. 100 is a new high but I have games that are around 80 after all the patches and everything. I think because so many people have huge hard drives and externals these days, developers have stopped trying to minimize their use of hard drive space.

Hell Im probably part of the problem. I have a 2TB internal and a 5TB external so when I read that RDR2 was 100 GB or that Blops 4 is 100 it didnt even phase me.

Yeah fuck 4k. If you're on a solid state drive you can only hold like 3 triple A games. Or you can use a mechanical to store more but now the 4k assets take 10 minutes to load every time. Your ISP has a data cap? Whoops, there it goes whenever it has to patch.

I'm using a ps4 slim with a non-functional disc drive, that I have a 4tb external drive hooked up to so I play only digital, and that's all hooked up to a 32 inch TV on top of my dresser.

An independent game might only be 1 or 2 gigs, but the usual AAA title is generally from 25 to 42.

I feel like the drama here is very misdirected.

It's not that the game file size will be enormous or anything. It'll clock in around 55 gigs or something like that. A very common size for video games these days.

What's shitty is that the game isn't on the disk. The disk is basically just a small tiny portion, and then the rest of the game will be downloaded when you put the disk in, that's what the "patch" is.

So there's no reason to buy the physical disk, basically. Because you're just buying a digital copy at that point.

blackout seemed fun when i played it on PC but I don't trust the game to stay populated on PC and don't have anyone to play with on console, plus regular multiplayer doesn't seem great
