paperwarior posted... I'm listening to the WL2 soundtrack right now. We need this series on VC.
Indeed. I hadn't played any WL titles until I got WL4 from the ambassador stuff and god damn was that game great. The only thing I disliked was the bosses since I felt like I had to grind some rather mundane mini-games for each of them.
yeah I'm soooo confused when I go to an article about Kid Icarus and the comments section is riddled with whining about wanting classic controls.
I just don't get it, KIU controls amazingly well after 30 minutes or so of playing it. There's no way Kid Icarus could be as fast-paced and fun as it is if it had dual-analog controls.
The controls are fine IMO. Although the whole dash-walk thing is a little weird... I tried to shoot a Souffle and jumped off a cliff in Pandora's level, losing my 8.0 difficulty right before the boss.

The controls I got used to. Pit's awkward movement still bugs. I hate it when I want to run to a better position but end up dashing into or off of something instead.
From: Icon Tang | #014 did Japan get a Fire Emblem puzzle for Puzzle Swap? I just streetpassed with someone from Okinawa and she has a completely blank puzzle named ???
Yep.

as far as i know it's exactly as it says. when monoeyes or anything shoots something, have it just touch the tip of you wings without actually hitting you
I've heard you can only do it while in gliding mode, when Pit straightens out after you stop firing for a bit. I'm not sure if that's completely true, but it seems like it's a lot easier that way.
Basically, set the difficulty to maybe 5 or so (so enemies fire a lot, but you're not overwhelmed), and try to choose a stage with a lot of Monoeyes. The big black shots are the easiest to avoid. When gliding, just edge as close to the shots as possible without hitting them, taking into account how they home in on you. You should hear a little whoosh noise if you do it right. That's how I've been doing it.

Ohhh that's what the problem was. I didn't know you couldn't be shooting to narrowly avoid shots. I got all 50 needed and finally completed the Palutena board. Thanks, guys!

Kid Icarus Uprising is a great game, but the controls are indeed bad. No matter how you set it up, there's always something you can't do easily. The game is begging for dual analogue.
