Jak 1 was great.
Jak 2 was probably better
Jak 3 was alright, but I think it's my least favorite

and yeah the second two focus less on platforming and more on action

Hoping to play through this game completely today. Up to 35% so far and just went through Fire Canyon.

Yeah it's a fairly short game. It took me about 4 days and it usually takes me friggin forever to beat games.

Still, it's one of the most thoroughly enjoyable from beginning-to-end games I have ever played.

It's alright, but both the sequels are better. Jak II is my personal favorite- it's also the one that's the most difficult to a first time player.

It's actually kind of eye-rolling how forced it tries to be dark, especially when it comes to the character of Jak.

Jak and Daxter is the shortest, but best.

It's actually kind of eye-rolling how forced it tries to be dark, especially when it comes to the character of Jak.

That's why Daxter is the most crucial character of the series.

Without him the whole things just falls into self-parody.

Daxter is awesome enough to keep the tone loose enough to still find the right niche between dark and humorous.

Jak III does an even better job with that tone. The big reveal towards the end is one of my favorite scenes in all of gaming, and it's all humor.

I actually prefer Jak 2 and 3 over the first game. Jak 2 is one of my all time favorite games.

This is how I feel. I thought I was in the minority, but so far it seems most have different opinions on this matter. 1 was just too short and lighthearted for my tastes.

2 and 3 still have plenty of platforming. They also have better gameplay and amazing stories. TLF is pretty bland though.
