Even for being one of the games that comes closest to Brawl-like hype and totally flops, it's still a decent game. It's buggy, and some of the stages are just boring (Tribal, Space), but it's balanced out a bit with it's infinitely reusable creators and a great creature stage.
If Galactic Adventures counts as part of the game, then give Spore a 9.6 instead since that expansion made Spore one of my favorite games out there for a long time.

Just for the hell of being a fanboy of Spore for more than 5 months, I'm also ranking the other games in the franchise.
Spore Creatures: 6 (Paper Mario-esque artstyle is neat, and the gameplay is actually solid for something I expected to be horrible. But like Hero, it's still somewhat inflexible. Mildly suprised by Creatures) Spore Origins: 4 (very "meh") Spore Hero: 3.2 (ugh, weak game with no flexibility, laughably easy combat and probably the worst framerate drop on Wii) Spore Hero Arena: 0.1 (le vomit)
i dont understand why there was so much hype for this game. Like what was supposed to be so great about it? Sandbox/God game stuff have been overrated for years now
