I'm taking it as well. Practice tests have ranged from 174-179 on the recent ones (post-2000, which harder critical reading and easier logic games) so I'm hopeful about doing well.

i've been getting 170s and 171s. my target score is a 170, so i'm fine with that. props on your scores though. that's pretty legit!

i'm mostly worried that i'll get a game that completely throws me. i have confidence that i can do most LR sections with missing 3 or 4 at most on a bad day, and reading comp has never given me too much trouble. The Dec 2011 reading comp was brutal, though. I hope this one is nothing like that...

I think I got all the logic games, but reading comp was pretty damn brutal. LR was also pretty tough this time around. I got 3 of them, so I'm hoping the one I did well on wasn't the experimental!

What was the order of your sections?

I had RC, LR, LR, LG, LR.

oh, and just for reference, you get 35 minutes to do each section. Games sections have 4 games each.

they're great mental exercises, though. I can see myself just doing them once in awhile the same way people do sudoku puzzles

My test also had three LR's, none of which I'm worried about. There were a few uncertainties for me in RC, so probably a few misses there, but it was the games that were killer. I don't know what happened but it seems like I was guessing on at least 5 questions, maybe more.

Heh heh, sorry. If it makes you feel better, a few others found the games easier than normal as well, so maybe they were just up your alley. Most seemed to find them harder, though, especially the middle two (****ing work shifts problem).

the last one was the piano solos...but other than that, I don't remember. something about two restaurants for the...third game?

Hopefully it went well! I'm still very nervous for this coming October (IIRC, haven't checked in a while), although the LSAT prep course I'm taking in July will hopefully help out a bit. Any tips you and Sub have about good prep?

Which course are you taking? Blueprint is amazing. I can't really imagine any other course being better than them. And prep is just getting used to taking tests. Don't rush and try to get to all the questions at first. Focus more on accuracy--you can work on speed after that. Doing 3 of the 4 games and 3 of the 4 reading comp passages is still enough for a decent score. But yeah, accuracy, and then speed.

I didn't do any prep courses; I just bought 30 practice exams and a game guide and went at it. That's what works for me...or at least used to work.

I wouldn't say prep courses are necessary, but they can be damn helpful for people like me. I tried self study for a month and got nowhere.

"Quantitative Reasoning" as they called it. It was a lot of logic based math as compared to advanced algebra, etc. I only went as high Geometry in high school and MTH 105 in college and I was 82nd percentile. Therefore "math" is not how I'd describe it.
