I've been getting into Skullgirls, this game is super intense. Trying to get some Parasoul combos down, but it's tough! I played a bunch with my friend who is really good (he goes to WNF and is on stream a bunch). He gave me a crash course on the game. High/low mixups all day. So scary.
Also played some SC5 with him, we dicked around with A.Patroklos, trying to get his just frame attacks down. Didn't go so well.
Also, SF4, as usual. I think we're both kind of starting to get bored of this game though. Some mindless Ryu/Guile sets.
And there was talk of us playing Civ5? I'm thinking about actually starting my first game right now!
I played a Balrog and Abel both within the top 5 for those characters the other day. One of them I split 2 games with, and the other I ended up taking both games from, I forget which. Probably should've saved replays of those, maybe I still can.
I've also been running into this guy online a ton who's really good with THawk, except he picks Hakan every time I play him now. He's got the best Hakan I've seen online, so I enjoy the matchup experience, but I wish I could face off against his Hawk again sometime to see where I compare.

ONLY FIVE CAN LADDER. Sushi, kamikaze, fujiyama, nippon-ichi...
actually that's been a realization of mine recently. as I pile up fighting games (in the past year I've bought SSF4, MK9, KoF 13, Skullgirls, Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection, Virtua Fighter 5, Marvel 2, Marvel 3, SF2 HDR, and SFxT) I don't play a whole lot of them. if I'm in a fighting game mood I usually just play 3s with my real life buddy or online. I'll probably pick up Persona and give it a whirl but maybe not too many more FGs after that unless they look really interesting.
I'm not sure what it is exactly, 3s just feels rewarding to my brain. I wanna keep playing and keep getting better and most of my game time is put there. last game I sunk this much time into was SSBM. I guess I'm not really a FG fan, just a 3s fan who dabbles in SF2 and 4 and wishes CvS2 had online play.
of all those other ones though I like MK9. it seems like B8 never really played it but from my experience it was a good time. never played online though.
I would totally buy MK9 but I can't buy vanilla when I know Komplete edition is out and that's $50. I don't like spending more than $40 on games. I don't think I've bought a game over $40 in over a year actually...
I'll look into it tomorrow, I'm new at/looking to get into traditional fighters in general, I just used SSFIV as an example since I figured it would probably be most common being newest
Online Warrior, who said it's on Hadouken.com and a few other sites that Seth Killian was talking about how they aren't giving up on the game and are going to completely rehaul it.

Xbox GT: PrivateBiscuit1 Down with Zhang. Let there be Biscuit!
So Dante and I tried to play SSF4 and we could each play other people but it wouldn't let us play each other. For him it just said Can't Join Session but for me it said something about not having the necessary downloadable content, despite having all the possible (free) DLC.
Neither of us have Arcade Edition.
Help.

If you wake up at a different time, in a different place, could you wake up as a different person? [HERO'S PLUNGE] http://img.imgcake.com/finegifdy.gif
I bought VF5 and then it downloaded almost the whole way and then the download failed. Trying again now.
Also I can suddenly do everyone's trials in SSF4. I cleared the last few trials for 5 characters over the past two days, after making hardly any progress for months.

ONLY FIVE CAN LADDER. Sushi, kamikaze, fujiyama, nippon-ichi...
I'm gonna mess around in the training mode for a bit before I do play it. I played VF4 a bit back in the day, but hell if I remember how that series works 5 years later.

I picked one character to mess around with and of course it's one with a bunch of weird moves that make little sense to me. Obviously this will now be my main even though I am baffled by half the things I can do.
