Not 2 days
Not 3 days.
1 day.

Also, when you pay $50 for 1 day shipping, on top of the required $10/mo to be able to select 1 day shipping (i.e. Prime) I don't want to pay $50 for your free 2 day shipping when the package is expected to arrive on the 1 day this week I could not get off from work.

Thanks Amazon.

Also happy birthday Randi.

Bloody hell how heavy/large of an item did you order? I thought their one-day shipping is at a fixed rate? That being said, despite this botch up at least they will refund you the $50.

Pretty much every time I order something it says 2 to 3 days or something before shipment.

Shipping is only AFTER it leaves Amazon.

Depending on said item though it's rare for the product to not ship out within a day. Assuming the vendor is Amazon and not a third party vendor and assuming the TC place the order within a certain time, usually said product would be processed the same-day and shipped out.

Last year I have placed an order for a pair of shoes at 12:30am and received notification it was shipped out at 2pm and to arrive the following day which I did received. Though if the TC's 1-day shipping was $50, I can only assume it wasn't as easy to process as one pair of shoes. Plus my pair of shoes was processed by Amazon and not a third party vendors. The only other reason I can think the TC's order was delayed was because of the delivery company. Once the product is on the truck, there's not much more Amazon can do.

Our post office doesn't believe in one or two day shipping. We expect to get it on the day it's supposed to be there, not leave a notice and pick it up ourselves the next day. Assholes. (Live in a rural area, they won't deliver to houses that they say are too far from the mailbox. The end of the road is supposedly too far from the mailbox.)

Have you called and complained to the Post Master General of your post office?

Shit gets done.

I had them try to tell me a package they'd delivered several times in the past (subscription for catfood) was too heavy one time and I had to go pick it up. I asked why it was suddenly too heavy for them (36 pounds) when it wasn't precious months and why are they accepting packages they won't deliver?

It was at my house 20 minutes later.

They are the ones who came up with that rule.

It's one day shipping, with a 1-3 day order processing time.

It's not like they can pop it in a box and send it the minute your click the "Place Order" button.

My beef is the pre-orders. You never get a pre-ordered game the day it's released, even though I know they get the supply at least a week before the official release date.

Everything I order on Amazon has a statement like this:

Did TC just not read it and then came here to complain?

I am not sure if that product is a good example. Amazon offers only standard shipping for that for some reason. I added my pair of shoes to the cart along with the cat litter. The shoes have the option for a delivery of tomorrow if the order is placed by 3pm PDT.

Well each item will be different. I just used it as an example of Amazon showing dates.

I understand that. I am only suggesting if the Amazon showed the TC an estimate of next day and the product doesn't arrive the following day then something went wrong somewhere despite being just an estimate.

I assume Amazon would not offer certain shipping options if said shipping time isn't possible or at the very least post the actual delivery date if the order was placed after the deadline. If the TC placed the order too late but chose 1-day shipping he shoulda check to see what the actual delivery date will be.

Speaking of which TC, what time did you placed the order for a 1-day shipping? Did you place it before the cut-off time?

$1500 worth of computer parts in 3 shippments.

I had all items purchased last night before 7pm.

2 Shipped last night (1 by FedEx and 1 by USPS)
The last has still not been shipped.

Even with the two guys who shipped on the 18th, I am not getting them until the 20th, and they were shipped as 2-day standard shipping instead of the 1-day shipping I paid for.

They're dumbasses. With the free standard shipping I get it next day from the warehouse that's like an hour away. When I tried Prime's 2-day shipping, it came from a facility 2000 miles away every time. Fucking idiots. Don't get me started on the whole "their system forgot to process my orders and their staff didn't believe me" repeated failure...

I have always had a lot of luck with amazon. If something comes wrong or not on time I get refunded and given a free month of amazon prime. I think I am up to 6 months free just because a couple packages came in 3 days instead of 2.

i can understand the frustration, i paid extra to have it shipped quicker. if it had a guaranteed arrival they should by all means get it to me in that point of time (provided natural disasters don't occur).

this was for a ps3. they took 1 extra day (if i knew that it was going to happen i probably would of went with the 2 day shipping for cheaper). got the shipping charge refunded.

Well that's interesting and this is for the same product from both fulfillment centers? I know different products could arrive from different fulfillment centers depending on stock and who the actual vendor is but that is weird if they sent you the same product but from two fulfillment centers unless one ran out.

Have you always received your order the next day via standard shipping? There is a fulfillment center about 54 miles from my home and only occasionally would my 2-day shipping arrive the following day. Come to think of it, I never bother looking at which fulfillment center my order came from.
