I can't imagine just turning a camera on myself and having people throw money at me like that. I'm jealous but I still like Pewdiepie.

I don't understand that mentality though. Giving that much to people that need it the least. I would support a smaller streamer I enjoy watching.

EDIT: I assume they just want a shout out or to have their name pop up on the stream of a super famous person.

I think a lot of his supporters really do like his work, so they want to show their appreciation through donations. It's not about whether he "needs" it. But then again, none of us really know all the ins and outs of someone else's life, so we can't even fully say what they need or don't need to achieve their goals or pay their expenses until they die. We'd be guessing, at best.

You're right. My view only comes from a my personal beliefs. Giving money to someone who is clearly doing better than me in life just seems silly. I'm more of a buy someone lunch kind of person. I'm not against the donations or anything.
