There's about 7 weeks until the next general election, and here's a few facts about it.

The principle players are Teresa May (Conversatives, currently in power), and Jeremy Corbyn (Labour). There's also the Liberal Democrats, UKIP, the Green Party, etc, who only have minor power, but want to increase their number of seats in the House of Commons.

Teresa May doesn't have a mandate, but if she wins this election in July, she's obviously have one.

Brexit will still go ahead whomever wins, but having said that, based on whom wins Brexit may be done differently.

This is going to be the fourth major vote in 3 years, i.e. along with the Scottish referendum, the Brexit referendum, and the general election in 2015.

Early predictions say that Theresa May and Conversatives will win, but Labour have a good chance, especially under their new image, courtesy of Jeremy Corbyn.
