I get why everyone was upset but I'm also dubious about how the internet always picks a topic to get the pitchforks out over and run it into the ground beyond what would be considered normal, well-adjusted human behaviour. Before this it was United. I wonder what's next.

Dude, I know what happened and everything. So I get the initial outrage. What I'm critical of here is the way the internet has this unpleasant habit of circlejerking over the ashes of whoever they deem the designated monster-of-the-month.

If you want any proof of that, go readsome of the comments on any of these videos now. A lot of these aren't concerned people who are upset for the kids. These are bored dudes actually enjoying the pitchfork emporium.

I mean, it is child abuse. I think people's reactions are completely understandable. I think it is far beyond the United incident too, and in no way similar.

No doubt some are. but most Ive seen are just outraged and want the children safe, so are just keeping awareness up and not letting it fade away.

You can clearly see the guy dealing with an issue inside his own head. It's like he doesn't realize that they were fucking up big time, and yet he's just doing it because their lawyer told them to.

He followed the Youtuber rule book for apologizing. Don't admit what you did wrong. Say that you are "Sorry" the other person feels about the situation. Tell them that you "respect" and "acknowledge" their opinions. It ticks all the boxes of a insincere apology.

As for the whole "We just wanted our kids to be happy.". I find that highly unlikely. I don't about you, but I don't think kids are happy when they're constantly being tormented, having their privacy invaded, and constantly dealing with idiot parents who refuse to protect them. Hell, the girl and brother have told them to stop lots of times. I highly also doubt that they got caught up in the "fame". Because they have to edit and upload their videos, so it's not like you could constantly sit there and watch your kids pretty much get tortured endlessly and think "They're having a great time! =D"
