It was an okay book. Not the classic people make it out to be, or really really good, but decent, and worth reading. Some chapters were really boring, some were pretty good. The writing was quite good, but not as complex as I thought it would be, since this is meant to be a really hard book. I think Levin was perhaps the best character, with all the things about farming. Vronsky was quite interesting, too. Anna was boring, and a pretty bad person, and her father was very boring. Perhaps it's best she killed herself. I wish they had been more talk about history and politics. I laughed when the guy got his book published at the end, and rather than people liking or even disliking it, NOGAF when it was released. The racing and hunting bits were mostly boring.

Has anyone else read this? What did they think of it?

The only Tolstoy I've read is War and Peace. The peace parts were good; the war parts were not as good.

Lol, I guess he wouldn't be impressed. But it was just a mini-review, and I doubted more than 1 or 2 people would read it, anyway. It's CE. As someone pointed out the other day, it's uncommon to see a topic about books on CE.

i think it's just the way you go "this was boring, that was interesting, this character was dumb, it was good she killed herself, etc"

idk it's like seeing the Mona Lisa or something and going "yea, the painting was ok. I liked the colors but her face looked dumb."
