Honestly, it never gets as awful as the later part of S8.

These are a continuation of the show, so that money doesn't benefit the show.
Also, the ones you're referring to are probably the non canon stuff that was published when the show was on.

They are volumes, so they cost more than the issues would cost separate.

It's gotten more expensive the more later the comics were. Season 8 was pretty cheap, but I bought the library edition which is hardcover and bigger so it still cost me more.

Also I think since it's prob more expensive here since it's imported to the comic store, and that comic stores aren't even popular in Sweden. So it all adds up.

hopefully, buying comics online is a ripoff sometimes. I was looking for this old spiderman comic and found all its editions in a comic shop for more than half off than what it was online

Oh yeah, but wasn't things confusing in Buffy season 9 without Angel and Faith? I mean they did crossover stuff, especially with Willow

It was good to read both at the same time imo
