It's not gonna be totally authentic, I'm not gonna BBQ the meat for example, but I got some Guajilo and Ancho chillies for the marinade.
I don't like pineapple in food, so this is gonna be interesting, somehow I think I'll like it. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

I dunno tho, but every recipe and even wiki says so. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

Ok, the marinade is prepared. It was a nice but yet a bit odd flavor to it. Doesn't taste like pineapple despite having all the liquid be pineapple juice, even put some pineapple in it to blend.
Tomorrow I'll cook it. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

Americans in California/Southwest can't even make tacos, so I wouldn't even call whatever a european makes a taco. It's like when people add curry powder to a dish then call it curry.

I'm doing as authentic as I can. The "norm" of tacos here are as far as authentic as they can be. But I've made tacos that are close to authentic, well with my own twists. Most recently this: Beef that I spiced with my own blended taco spice. Corn and kidney bean salsa with very chunky guacamole and a cilantro green onion lime salad. Crispy lettuce on the bottom of the corn tortilla to keep it to get mushy. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

Here is an old very messy pic, but a pic of me when I eat our more traditional ways of eating tacos altho bit spiced up. It's not authentic, but tasty still. Been a long time since I had our "fake" tacos, since I've been trying to do more authentic. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!
