...my new novel. You know, the huge, extremely complex one.

I wrote a new chapter today, but I've still got a long way to go. It's planned to be about 100 chapters (9 parts with just over 10 chapters per part, on average), and I've got 17 so far, so only about 17% of the way through.

I'm not sure what I think of it so far. I want it to be my magnum opus, something the critics can maybe fawn over for decades to come (and analyse for decades, as well), but at just seems good at the moment. Of course, I've still got lots of the first draft to write, and it's only the first draft as well.

Keep at it man. That's really ambitious, but if you keep writing it will come more and more naturally to you.

100 chapters? What a joke.

If you're a REAL writer it'd be at least 200 chapters and needed to be told across 12 more books!

This is a long-running gimmick with him. Last time he talked about writing his novel for years and then lost the file or something, and moved on to talking about movies even more. Guess it's time to go back to the well.
