Renting a range + equipment are so expensive, they are like 20 bucks / 2 hours and the commute is far. Not affordable of i want it to be a routine stuff

Thought of buying my own equipment. I browsed, a decent recurve bow i can get from 150-300 bucks (tjere are even 50 bucks one but they will probably break quickly or just nto good) plus accesorry like armguard, chest brace and some arrows and blunt pins for safety. The start will be a bit expensive, but if the equiment can last for years with proper maintenance itcwill be affordable. but then again i live in the city and have no space to train, or at least a,good one with low traffic and generally straight flat land.

I've done some archery for fun but would never pursue it seriously, I feel like it would get boring

Way cheaper than firearms.
Get a target and you can practice outside, if you live in an apartment, yeah it's a bitch.

Check your area out free outside ranges.

See if there's a Facebook group in your area for it, might be people that regularly get together and split costs.

Maybe. I will search around. Either that or i am gonna go space hunting. Ideal place is walkong distance or at least 10-15 min drive from home or work

Heh, the only big time archer I know is actually one of the manliest dudes I know. He actually uses his archery for food. His family eats fresh venison, rabbit, all kinds of interesting stuff. They pretty much don't do grocery store meats" at all.

He started bow hunting because he's not allowed to own guns due to some kind of legal or criminal trouble in his past that I've never really wanted to pry about.

If it's a hobby that you'd be wanting to do two or maybe three times a week, it would definitely start to add up.

It could be. We don't know how often TC plans to go, how much money TC makes or what kind of expenses TC has. For me, $10 an hour is the kind of thing I might be able to do 2 or 3 hours a month, which is not really enough for any but the most casual hobbyist.

I was in an archery league when I was a teenager. Kind of like a bowling league where you'd get together once a week at a local range and go head-to-head against someone else shooting I think 50 arrows (10 rounds of 5) at a target for the highest total score. It was honestly a lot of fun and I've thought about going back to it someday.

I also did a few tournaments that basically were walking a trail through the woods, taking shots from specific locations at 3D animal targets scattered throughout the woods. I won one of them in my age group, too. No idea where my trophy went. ;_;
