Whether or not you agree with the message and support the crappy things that have been done in the BLM name, it was painfully obvious that the name meant that their lives matter too. If I am being oppressed, or think I am being oppressed, and I proclaim that my life matters, then clearly I believe people think my life does not matter. So when I say my life matters, I am saying "Hey my life matters too", not "No one's life matters but mine." You know, because that is how humans communicate in English.

The problem with ALM is that it works under the asaumption that black people are treated the same as everyone else, ask a group of non blacks if they would want to be treated like black people and nobody would say yes.
