Most of my married friends said they didn't have sex the night of. They were too tired/drunk; however, about 50% said they fucked before or after the wedding photos, hence why it sometimes takes so long for the bride and groom to come back from them.

This is what we did. After the reception we drove all the way to the airport to fly out the next morning. So tired by the time we got to the hotel we passed out

i am getting married in July. my fiancee & i met with our wedding photographer yesterday to go over the timeframe for the wedding and basically from about 11am to 6pm (when the reception happens), I am basically being ushered around NONSTOP from photo op to photo op - the photographer had the schedule down to the minute.

And even if you have the world's laziest wedding photographer and you aren't doing ANYTHING in the hours between the ceremony & reception, the idea that a bride is going to get out of her wedding gown (where she is probably tied in & zipped up) and then go have sex while she is wearing her wedding makeup and has her complicated wedding hairdo (both of which probably took like an hour to do by a professional) is laughable

my wife and i did our photos during the cocktail hour and that was it

i hadnt even touched on the hair/makeup but yes, that too

maybe if she was in front of an AC vent set to 59F it would be considered before being rejected

- photos of my fiancee & her family/bridesmaids before the ceremony
- photos of me & the groomsmen / my family before the ceremony
- then there is the ceremony where he will be taking candid shots
- then family photos in the church
- then we take outdoor photos at a few nearby locations while we wait for the reception
- then we go to the reception and it's mostly candid shots of everyone @ the second half of the cocktail hour
- no more photo ops for us until around desert when they pull us out to take photos in a nice spot of the venue

it's pretty nuts honestly, but i thought this was par for the course

Grabbed some McDonald's on the way home in my tux and we passed out after eating.

our ceremony was followed by a 1hr cocktail hour and then the reception immediately

the whole 3 hours of photos in between was a no-go for us
