Game is quite faster than dark souls 2 from what I can remember. Good thing I played dark souls 2 not too long ago and whats his faces from the dlc made me accustomed to roll i frames

And thank god for 100% damage resistance shield right off the bat :0

Meh. I know about the whole whatever stat that was used to determine how many i-frames you got in dark souls 2 but its all p much the same to me. Dodge at the last possible moment and be fabulous.

I got thoroughly owned by...I think theyre called Lothric Knights? The actual knight looking dude on high wall. Kinda cool that theyve adapted from "circle around towards their shield side". Much faster response times and tracking from the enemy in this game.

Then instead of going left towards the dragon I go right and one of those zombie things transformed into the dragon thing Gundyr had. Got wrecked by that cuz the area was so much smaller @__@

Did you attack the old lady and kill the Dancer? Sounds like you are ahead of where you should be.

The easiest way to deal with the Lothric knights is to just be more aggressive. They can punish you pretty badly if they get you into a cycle of panic rolling and healing. They have really bad poise, though, so you can usually stunlock them to death just with R1 spam if you get an opening.

If you're feeling brave, they're also a good way to practice parry timings.

the dragon flies away after enough damage has been done.

and those enemies with the black growths are weak against fire, so fire bombs and pyro spells work well against them.

It all wraps around anyway, but if you go right you can only go so far until you come to the elevator that's closed from the other side. Unless I'm thinking of the wrong spot? Been I a little while since I played it, it's the very first bonfire out firelink that your talking about right?

So I noticed in this game you dont go hollow when you die. Just lose some of your max hp. Is this a lore thing or?

can't remember, but there is a way that you can go hollow, if you wanna take a certain path

Yeah hollowing is basically an optional thing now.

Have to find a certain NPC after the next boss.

So I found my problem with the Lothric Knights...I was using the spear lol. I tried the r1 spam method but found theyd beat me during my follow up attack because spear is quite slow.

Found a longsword on one of those regular dudes that the dragonbro burned and just rekt the lothric knight with it.

Alright so Ive kinda gotten the hang of the game. Went to go farm the first Lothric Knight for his sword and he happened to drop it first go lol. Now plan on using this sexy piece of thing for a good while.

Beat Vordt and just got to Undead Settlement. I hear something about Dancer being available around Vordt but it being super hard?

IIRC, you can kill him and the old lady in Firelink will sell you his armor, or you can also buy it from her later after beating a certain boss

No, the guy at the bottom of that elevator is an outrider knight. He's basically a smaller, faster version of Vordt. You can run straight past him if you want. If you open the door behind him, he won't follow you through.

Also is it lag or are some of these invaders just immune to getting staggered? Was invaded by a phantom yesterday and dude was not staggering at all even though the hit register sound came up multiple times. Didnt even look heavily armored for poise either.

Alright I made some progress today. Got through road of whatever, cathedral of the deep and just got past the stone gate at Farron's keep.

I swear I saw some player ghost with ghru hair tho. Is that a helm or something?

you beat the Cathedral of the Deep boss?

you need to to progress in the game, but it feels kinda outta the way, IMO.

and that helm, if it's what I'm thinking of, you can get after accessing a secret area and beating it's boss. then the old lady in Firelink sells the outfit.

Yeah, it's a good idea to check back with the handmaiden after killing bosses, because sometimes you unlock special armor.

So I'm farming the Darkwraiths in Farron's Keep Perimeter and...one of them attacks me. But the other one just mauls the fuck out of the nearby crows and ghru.
