ballista are inferior to trebuchets

Different thing for different purposes. Trebuchets are for siege and effective against building and blowing up walls, ballista are more defensive stuff effective against infanrty or mounted units. Well, at least thats what age of empires taught me.

Also ballista can hit dragons and other flying ahit because it is more accurate.

About two years ago, I started building longbows with hand tools. I started out just using saws and files. After my first seven foot monstrosity mollagebet, I decided to incorporate some power tools to speed up the process. I also picked up a lifesaving Draw Knife (which is normally used to shave bark off of lumber, but works fucking great for shaping the limbs). My next project will probably be another bow, but I was thinking of trying to make a crossbow.

But you know what? A small ballista would be fucking neat.

It's all about practice, man. I mean, my grandpa taught me a lot about some basic craftsmanship stuff, but I just taught myself how to build bows from google. Before I started, I didn't even own any tools.

If WC2 taught me anything ballistas (ballistae?) cannot fire at air targets. But anything in front of it is in deep doo-doo.
